(August 31, 2018, 3:06 pm)After a hospital stay I have elected to have chemotherapy to address my cancer issues. As a prelude to the chemo treatments all patients are required to take a brief (2+ hours) course introducing us to the facts and fiction of chemo and what we should expect. The information was clear and very helpful and the instructor was very knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. I was introduced to the billing representative who works closely with both me and my insurance company. In addition I spent time with my assigned "Navigator" who gave me printed instructions and a schedule to ensure that I completely understand what is going to happen. While I would prefer not to have cancer, the knowledge and clarity of the VCS staff has made beating this cancer something that I embrace, rather than fear, and has made me much more hopeful for the future. (August 1, 2018, 6:52 pm)Outstanding care from Dr Ninan and Dr Aksentijevich. The nurses in the infusion center have all been so friendly and caring—they make infusions pleasant. The phlebotomists have also been excellent and friendly. The Medical Assistants are so-so. Front desk is friendly and efficient.

(February 2, 2018, 3:31 pm)my mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer stage 4. We were/are devastated with such news. i guess the last thing you need in a situation like this is incompetent and heartless people. My mother and the whole family feel great when we bring her here. Everyone is very nice and cheerful. Gabriela or Gaby has made my mother's experience there great. She's happy, energetic and professional. She has the answers to all our doubts and concerns. (February 1, 2018, 11:45 am)While I still have a long way to go, I wanted to say thank you to the Alexandria office for their support in getting me through 8 round of chemotherapy! It's been a tough road, but this team has been there for me every step of the way. Jessica George and her team shown here (Sookie, Gabby, Christine and Gloria) have worked hard to make sure I am taken care of. From walking me through first steps to checking on me every 20 minutes, they know what they're doing. While I agree about the phone advice line rarely working, I highly recommend this team anyone working to beat cancer.
