  *UPDATE*- took my car back to the shop do have some major work done while I was out of town (steering, engine, tires) and once again, received the outstanding, 6-star service as before. The improvements they made to the car are very noticeable and I'm beyond pleased. David was also very meticulous at documenting every single part that went into my car, in the event that any of them need to be replaced down the line, saving me a ton of guess work (and ultimately shows he truly cares about his customers). This is, by far, the BEST auto shop I've ever done business with
  
  Only giving 5 stars because 6 stars wasn't an option. I took my 1973 Corvette to this particular AAMCO as I was having transmission issues. The owner, Dave, assured me that it would be in great hands. The mechanic that worked on my car, Phil, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and even took me into the shop to point out where all the problems were and the recommended fixes. Dave and Phil were excellent with keeping me informed about new parts, status updates, and honest recommended improvements to the car, all at a very fair price. I recommend this establishment to anyone

  I have a mouthful!! They have been such a blessing to me from day one! Mr.David has been more than professional, personable, and very mechanically inclined! Ms.Beth is the most perfect person to be seen first because she has the brightest personality. Dallas has amazing customer service skills as well! AAMCO fixed my car in NO TIME with honest opinions and options available for me and went above and beyond to provide quality customer service. This a TRUSTED business and I would recommend anyone get their cars checked out by them because you can guarantee your car will be in good hands. Thank you guys for everything!!!

  If you are looking for a honest and professional repair shop please take your car to this location. From my first interaction with the office specialist Beth I received nothing less than 5 star professionalism. After a horrible experience I had at another CHESAPEAKE TRANSMISSION shop this was a night and day service experience. The manager at AAMCO Dave kept me in the loop the entire process of getting my new transmission installed in my 2013 Chrysler 200. He called to let me know how the repair was going and he also returned calls when I had questions. Dave was a big help from talking to the warranty company to just being transparent about the repair. I can not say enough good things about this shop.They have a customer for life. Big props to the entire team at Gainsborough AAMCO!!!
