  My journey started May 13, 2019. I had a total right knee replacement. No one told me the struggles I might have after surgery. #1 Range of motion. After surgery I couldn't bend my knee barely 40 degrees. I was 45 years old when I had this surgery so having limited movement was also an emotional challenge. #2 Emotional struggles. I was having 3 meltdowns a day asking myself, "Was this surgery a mistake?" I was in search of a GREAT Physical Therapy office. I found Southeastern on Google and they had great reviews. I decided to give the N. Battlefield office a try. Lauren greeted me and I felt as if she understood my physical and emotional pain. I knew at that moment I made the right decision. Lauren and Joseph worked with me 3x wk for 6 months. It was a struggle to get my knee to bend past 90 degrees. My goal was 120. We did reach 90 degrees pushing. I thank you Lauren, Joseph and team for helping me get closer to my goal.
  I hit a brick wall with my range of motion and decided on a new location. I relocated to South Norfolk Southeastern Physical Therapy in Chesapeake in Nov 2019. I will admit...I picked this location because I grew up in South Norfolk. Let me just say this....BEST DECISION EVER!!! When I met Cori Z, I was a little emotional because I wasn't hitting my goal number of 120. I wasn't close to that number when I came to Cori. The 1st week with Cori, she had me walking NORMAL. Walking normal and not dragging my toe when I walked...that's important. My range of motion and strength improved in a month. Cori worked miracles on my knee and educated me on the muscles surrounding the knee. My last session, I was at 112 by myself and 120 with Cori pushing. Cori Z is the BEST around. That girl needs to be honored with a GOLD metal. She worked with me to the END and NEVER gave up on me. Her entire Team is wonderful. Erica, who is the sweetest receptionist in the world. John, A GREAT PTA who is caring and understanding. I wish you all the best!!!

  Great therapists who honestly care about their clients. They go over and beyond to make sure we are getting better. I’m glad my issue is being resolved but it’s going to be bitter sweet when I don’t get to see them anymore.
