(October 4, 2018, 9:06 am)Great spot on the water, very crowded on the weekends. Camping is missing well maintained fire pits and playground needs maintenance. Bathroom with running water is far from the camping so most likely you will depend on portable toilets. Camping is mostly out in a big field with few trees.

(September 3, 2018, 5:57 pm)we went for the tubing, on a very hot Labor Day....it was wonderful!! everything was organized and quick moving(as possible considering the high number of people) price is right on for the experience....river was running high and faster than the norm, so I wanted a longer float, but eventually all good things come to an end....

(August 12, 2018, 3:51 pm)Fantastic camping. Had a great "Boys" weekend. The tubing could be longer only 45min. (Fast water flow do to recent storms) but the staff were friendly and the site was flat. No RV or camper park river front. But it's only 100 yards to the river bank. Fishing was good. Again river was fast due to storms, but we had some catfish luck.. We will definitely be back.

Right now still an interesting getaway from the rush life that pulses in what is Washington Metropolitan living. A pleasant place to enjoy floating in a tube. While flowing with the slow movement of the Shenandoah river. Letting yourself to be temporary mentally adrift. With no concerns about anything.
You will need to utilized the voice feature of Google maps to avoid a wrong turns. Brought me back of when my family would escape the heat of San Antonio. To take a dip in the cool waters of spring fed Texas rivers. Keeping up with a family tradition. Now in the beauty that is Virginia.
