Great place to bike or walk around. There are some trails for mountain biking but you'll need to look them up. If you are in to mountain biking the trail will lead to Wakefield Park. Wakefield is a great place to mountain biking.
Lake Accotink has so much history. As a kid my friends and I would ride our bikes to the park and go fishing. When we visited with family the picnic area and canoes was something everyone enjoyed. I was eager to help the #savelakeaccotink campaign. The past couple of years there has been some serious efforts in keeping the park clean and functional.
Pleasant hike, walk and bike trail around the lake. Boats in the season. I wish the boat house and cafe would stay open a longer season: today with fine weather it was closed
Such a lovely place to enjoy nature. I've been there on a week day. All the rides and booths were closed however, it was fun to walk there and enjoy the beautiful scenery. You can also see different birds, insects, plants and mushroom.
This is a great park for doing some running and escaping the city life. There is a trail that goes on for some miles, so you won't be disappointed if you're looking for something with distance. There is also Bike, mini golf and Marina rentals for a small fee. Great park to visit.
