If you're not coming to climb at Great Falls, this isn't the lot you're looking for. It's further from most anything you could be there to do.

This is one of the closest parking lots you can park in to get near the ruins of Matildaville and parts of the canal. It's a nice Midway point between there and the Falls overlook.

Plenty of parking even at peak time, clean, and gorgeous.

As the climbing parking lot there should be pictures of the climbing. Shorter walk than the visitor center, but not that much difference. Fewer amenities at this parking lot. The visitor center has water and food available.
