Penderbrook Golf Club

Greens were in pretty good shape, rolled true, hard to read at least for me. Fairways also in pretty good shape. I paid $79 for a 1:50 tee time on a Friday and feel like that's a little high but not many choices for decent golf anyway. This course has enough character to make it enjoyable even tho the tips are only 6200. Most par 4s play short. Most par 3s play long. Par is 71. Cheers.

This is a reasonably challenging public course with narrow fairways in many spots and nice elevation changes on many holes. When playing in mid-September, many areas of the course were under major repair with a lot of turf restoration and reseeding in process, making for some real rough patches of hard dirt instead of fairway and tall enough rough that finding balls was especially tough. Play was especially slow today with about half of the groups appearing to be ad-hoc foursomes -- play was about 4.5 hours for 18 holes and waiting on most tee boxes. I'd definitely recommend Penderbrook for casual golfers just looking to get a cost effective 18 holes in and look forward to playing it again in the spring when the fall turf repair is complete.
