“Finding the "right" daycare for your child is stressful. There are so many important questions. Will my child be safe? Will they be loved? Will they learn? Will they be happy? Is this a place where I can feel good about leaving my child when I go to work. Thankfully, Common Ground is amazing! We found Common Ground two years ago. Our oldest daughter was attending a different daycare in Reston, and we weren't thrilled with the environment -- lots of teacher turnover, limited curriculum, and a lot of bad attitudes. It started to wear on our daughter, and we started the hunt for a new facility. We were so lucky to find Common Ground. Common Ground has GREAT teachers (the infant room teachers have been there since the late 80s... You never find that kind of tenure at a daycare!), a loving and supportive environment, a great curriculum, and most importantly, our daughters love it! We are constantly surprised at what our daughters are learning, saying, and singing. We are so lucky to have found Common Ground and so lucky to have found the right daycare for our family! Bottom line, we highly recommend Common Ground to any parents looking for quality daycare in the Reston area.”

“I placed my 10 week old son in the infant room. As a first time Mom I was so nervous. Mrs. Neven heard each of my worries and promised to take exceptional care of my son. She has done exactly that for 4 months now. I can’t praise the infant care staff enough. They practice tummy time routinely, have incorporated my son into a sleep schedule, and are currently helping introduce solids. My son gets excited to go to “school” every morning ????.... and mom can breathe easy knowing her son is in safe hands.”

“Great people great staff. I enjoyed my year here it really was the best year of my life, I really only have two complaints. The school is really really cheesy and some of the groups are a bit too gender stereotypical. For example Girls Circle which meets during lunch to talk about friendship and being a "good" person, not to mention there is nothing like this for boys.”

They really make an effort to know your girl and lead her in the right direction, both intellectually & spiritually, working with the parents as partners. If you want to make good life-long friends, equip your daughter to stand firm in her faith, be able to defend it in college and beyond and be able to handle the rigors of ANY demanding college curriculum, Oakcrest is a great, maybe even the best, option in the D.C. metro area.”

“Mr. Lee is the simply the best piano teacher my 10 years son has had. His teaching philosophy is classic and ways are modern. In his class, he teaches and correct his student. After the class, he encourages his student to use apps to learn rhythm and notes. His lesson notes are clear and easy to follow so my son has no issue to practice as required. Sincerely recommend to anyone who is seeking a great piano teacher.”

“This place saved me. I was headed down a path of self destruction back when I was a freshman and sophomore (2000) and if it weren't for Cedar Lane, I am pretty sure my life would not be where it is today. The staff is caring, encouraging, and accommodating. Class sizes are small and incredible attention is paid to each student. They encourage students to explore themselves, whether through art, music, or something else. Of course not all moments were perfect, after all, high school is a trying time (especially with an emotional disability) but I always felt I could depend on any member of the staff to help. Thank you for allowing me to obtain my full potential!”
