Sharpshooters Indoor Range and Pro Shop

I was very pleased with the service at Sharpshooters. Joe did an excellent job of mounting my optic for me on my new Sig and took all the time necessary to explain to me how to get it sighted in correctly. He also took the time to help me identify which hearing protection would best fit my needs. I greatly appreciate his professionalism and highly suggest working with him and the knowledgeable staff at Sharpshooters. I look forward to using their range soon.

Went there for the training class and shooting range time. Had some cancellations in our party and our instructor, Carl, was able to make an accommodation for us. Training course was quick, thorough, and digestible. Questions I and those in my party had were answered in detail. Shooting range itself was nice. Overall Carl took great care of us, as well as everyone else on staff. If you are a first time shooter, I couldn’t recommend this place and instructor Carl enough.

I took my girlfriend here to shoot a rifle for the first time. I had very limited experience shooting rifles myself and she had no experience at all. I can say that at least for beginners, its a great place to start.

Having too little experience, we signed up for the “Intro to Firearm and Range safety” course which costs $95/per personFor the money, we got 1 hr of training in class and 1 hour of shooting at the range. Our instructor (I think Carl) was friendly and professional, and seemed quite knowledgeable with guns. After the class we headed down to the range, where he had us shoot a few rounds each to make sure we’re doing it right and then left so we can shoot at our own pace.

Our 1 hour of range time started when he left us.

I asked to get started with a AR15 chambered in .22 Long Rifle and my girlfriend loved for its low recoil (which is why I asked for .22 LR), and half way through swapped to the AR with the regular 5.56mm caliber. I personally liked the 5.56 way better.

I believe the entire experience costed around $230 for the two of us combined, which may raise some eyebrows for some people, but considering the quality of training, friendly attitude of the staff, and the overall experience, I would say Im satisfied.

Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely go back and also recommend to friends.

I took my team to Sharpshooters for team bonding and we had a great time. Bruce was very attentive the entire time all the way from scheduling to check-in to demonstration. The facility is about 20 mins outside of DC so it's not far. I also appreciated the safety protocols at the facility. I felt like they take gun safety very seriously.
