  I would highly recommend this gym for anyone looking to train in the Tyson's area! I was only here for a few months due to my job, but I felt immediately welcome on the mats and the lunch classes were always bumping! I wish I had been able to spend more time here!

  Highly recommend - excellent instructors, a safe supportive environment, and awesome facilities / mats. I noticed one review mentioned the acadamy not being suitable for beginners - I'm not sure what they meant. The training is intense, but classes have a good mix of experiance levels and I've been very impressed with the training provided to new students

  The location is easy to find. The facility is clean and well maintained. The staff and instructors are courteous and professional. The training is among the highest level instruction you'll find around the area. Abmar routinely produces winners at tournaments all over the country. I do not live here but I have many friends who I have trained with when I did and they love it here. When I am in the area, I train with them at Abmar's and every time I go there, I manage to come away with lessons to bring home to my academy.
  
  If you're looking for a tight knit group of people to train with and extremely high level instruction, I would strongly recommend Abmar Barbosa Jiu Jitsu.

  Professor Barbosa and Professor Malyjasiak are both jiu jitsu fountains of knowledge. While ABJJ isn't really suitable for beginners, they do provide an excellent environment to train in with a major focus on competitions and advanced techniques. Everyone at the gym is really friendly and willing to help out when they can. You'll also learn moves quickly with their hour long drill classes and almost always leave the marathon roll classes worn out, but smiling. Hope to see you out on the mats! Oss!

  There is no finer place to train in the area or beyond. Abmar and Marysia are dedicated to the martial art and spend ever waking hour making this gym the best that it can possibly be. You must leave your ego behind coming in here as the level of competition that you will face day in and day out here is a humbling experience... but in a good way. I love this place and the people that fill it.
