Nice spot to get out for a few an pass some time
Paved most of the way, train tracks running along a portion of the path.. good for those who want a clearly defined walking space.. can see far ahead.. trails break off and take you to apartment complexes.. nice healthy alternative to the VRE.. love the stepping stones and due to all the rain activity the creek is bubbling with excitement.. the birds are in full song and the frogs are adding their chorus as well... partial shade and partial uncovered areas.. take sunscreen, water and bug spray..great for a easy leisurely stroll through nature.. surprised by all the nature being so close to roads and apartment complexes.. not my first choice but a great alternative for a quick bike ride, a run or an evening stroll..
I enjoyed the dancing bees and flowers that popped up along this trail. It's near a train track with electric poles that line a portion of it. The path with water was a pleasant discovery that brought out the kid in me as I hopped across. I love Earth and her endless beauty.
This is a really nice, paved walking/biking path which runs between a small shopping center and the Burke VRE. There is one spot where you either have to walk/ride through a very shallow creek or you can step over on raised stepping stones. This path runs along the railroad tracks, but at a safe distance, which is cool for kids. There is a good portion that is unshaded.
Great long walk or short bike ride along the power lines, a stream, and train tracks. Easy access points and several neighbourhoods close by. The operator of the VRE/freight rail might blow his horn and wave. There is a lovely bunch of cylindrical stepping posts to cross a small offshoot of the stream. Marvellous for the whole family!
