After a couple of hospitalizations within a month she elected to do a 30 day respite stay at Sunrise instead of going to a skilled nursing facility (nursing home) for rehab. Within a couple weeks, my Mom made the decision to move to Sunrise permanently. She loves the community! The staff and residents were very welcoming to her when she arrived. This Sunrise is on the smaller size, which was important to her. It has a family feel to it. She feels safe and gets the perfect amount of attention from the staff members. They are all very friendly and caring to the residents. My Mom has an apartment she loves, is walking much more than she ever did at home which is benefiting her, has made friends and is truly enjoying interacting with people her own age (which is something she truly missed and needed) and she loves the food!!”
