“Both of my sons went to Good Shepherd and had a wonderful experience. They both went for two years and each and every one of the teachers they had were caring professionals who truly loved and nurtured them. I love that they went on field trips throughout the year and were able to ride the bus, which prepared them for their transition into elementary school. They also went through their 5 day program and took advantage of the Lunch Bunch, which I felt truly gave them an advantage in Kindergarten and got them ready to go to school all day every day. The staff love being around the little ones, this place is very special.”

“We're approaching our 7th year at Aquinas and still couldn't be happier. The growth of our children's education is astounding. Through primary, graduating lower elementary and now joining upper elementary. The staff and educators are like family and there is no one else I'd want educating and influencing our children. Every teacher, assistant and guide bring so much. Our kids love PE, performing in the play, the language programs, and how proud they are of themselves when completing detailed reports on big topics (in cursive!)! What's priceless, our kids look forward to going to school everyday, and sad to leave. Love our little school house. 2016 I can't say enough good things about this little school house which has become part of our family. Everyday I'm reminded how amazing Aquinas is. Our children are happy and flourishing.”

“My 2 year old grandson wants to go to Zari's house even on Saturdays! When we drop him off in the morning, he is so happy to be there he doesn't even turn around to say goodbye. Zari feeds him homemade, nutritious meals and snacks. She does far more than babysit. She tells them stories. They listen to music. He's learned to count. She has educational play time as well as unstructured play time. I highly recommend Just Like Your Home.”

“I met the owner - Laura - and took a tour. We loved hearing about the Goddard school curriculum and her passion for early childhood education. My husband and I were planning on enrolling our son in this school, but unfortunately we are relocating this Fall - we hope to find a Goddard School and someone as great as Laura near our new home!”

“I graduated from here about two years ago, and I miss it so much. I always felt so comfortable when I came here. All the teachers were awesome. Wish I could go back!”

“I wish I could give more than 5 stars. My son started here at 8 weeks and as a new mom geographically remote from family, not only did they provide excellent care, they patiently taught me things or gave me advice when they noticed I was struggling. Before we started, they also allowed us to visit unannounced so he could get used to the environment. I was welcomed any time, allowed to come and breastfeed if my schedule allowed, and in general, made to feel like I was a part of his day, not just dropping him off. In over a year, I have not once seen a staff member be surly or give the appearance of having a bad day. All the teachers I have meet are enthusiastic, greet every child as if he/she is special, and are patient beyond measure. I continue to refer to this place as 'school' when I drop my son off because I also feel they take their job of teaching the children seriously, even in the baby room. Every day, there is an activity that the children take part in and the youngest of babies are learning from the kids around them in a safe environment. In short, I count myself luck to have my child in a center as fulfilling and loving as this one. ”

“This school has completely changed our family. I can't speak highly enough! If you want a school that will love and nurture your child and will completely transform your family for the better, a school that will teach your child how to learn and love the process, then this is the school for you! I am so thankful for what this school has done for each of my children.....”

“I am a parent to two Westminster graduates. If your concern in selecting a school for your child is finding a safe environment that they feel happy and comfortable in while learning, then you have found it. Both my daughter's, who are now young adults, refer to their Westminster years as a great experience that started in kindergarten where they found their best friends for life. They want their kids to attend the school and share the same diverse and rich experience they had as a kid. I enjoy hearing and knowing that our choice for them was the right one and we too had the privilege of having the comfort of knowing that our kids were safe, happy, and getting great education in an accepting and diverse environment.”

“I went to school here in '92 when it was called Talent House. They had a pool back then where we would swim sometimes for recess. They also had a karate class. The teachers were top tear fun teachers. I don't remember any mean ones. Fond memories here. Really a great school if it's anything like it was in the '90's. If you have the money this is a much better place to teach and nurture your children than public school. Opinion: I was bullied a lot as a kid, here too. It made me feel subhuman and gave me low self-esteem. All schools have this problem. The teachers everywhere should keep a eye and ears on the children's interactions with one another to make sure they are always kind. Also parents, your children might be angels in your eyes but could be extremely mean to others behind your back. Teach your children to be kind to every living things. Love is the answer.”

“@Britney Burgess. Excuse me but I am pretty sure you're some fake troll trying to lower parents' interests on this school. You have used the same complaint on two schools including Browne Academy and Burgundy Farm. I would suggest you stop because what you're doing is wrong. Anyway, this school is fantastic and my cousins are having amazing experiences here. I plan on coming to burgundy next year, I will be in the 8th grade. Burgundy is such a genuinely great place, students get connected to nature through their Coopers Cove program and other events they have at their school. Burgundy also gets students engaged in learning using fun games to play. Some things students experience at burgundy include, swimming, gardening, sports, camping and making friends. Burgundy is a unique, diverse place that lets everyone express who they are and what their feeling. It is a vibrant place that is accepting of everyone, no one feels left out everyone is included. You should send your children here because it is one of the best things you would ever experience. - Jade Lancaster + cousins.”

“Register NOW for the waitlist if you are having kids. Enrollment starts at 2 years and the 2 year old class waitlist is long...so the earlier you enroll the better. Enrollment fee apply, but are fair to keep out those who are not serious. FCMCC Is diligent about teaching strong principles and habits. Washing hands, sharing, helping set the lunch table, helping to cleanup, and more. They engage in redirecting behavior that can be distracting to other children. As a parent, this is a technique I was not aware of and I'm glad to have learned. I now use redirecting instead of timeout. The classrooms are designed for each age group. There are plenty of learning activities as well as fun toys, such as Legos. Every day my son participates in circle time, where his teachers provide instruction on the topics that they are reviewing. There is also plenty of outdoor playtime and one nap a day. Naptime/Quiet time is around 130 and is for two hours. The teachers are fantastic! They are not daycare workers they are certified teachers. Each classroom has a headteacher with two or more assistants. They are very organized and have activities planned for each day. I'm surprise my son doesn't come home with homework at 3years old :) Every day I am happy to take my son to Falls Church McLean Children Center because I know he's going to have excellent care and education. There are other programs parents can take advantage of through Fairfax County, I don't participate in those however they are available if I need them. Speech therapy is one of them. The office staff is very helpful! Miss Kathy, the director has a lot of experience in her field and it reflects in her management of the center. If you're looking for a place to take your son or daughter highly recommend FCMCC is your go to!”
