  This time of year it's hard to find parks that still have open restrooms, this place does, they are clean and kept up. Do you have the river is extremely relaxing and beautiful.

  Sherando Park is actually a huge and clean park. The park is very informative on where necessities are located, such as the restrooms, playgrounds, the pool, etc. I really enjoyed the space between each picnic shelters. Not too close and not too far away.
  
  The only issue I personally had was with the excessive sand/debris that was on the concrete area of the picnic shelters. If the park were able to air blow out the debris before each reservation, I believe it would be a big plus.
  
  This park has a lot of great features to it. You never know how long you were in the park, because you are too busy having fun and enjoying life. Now that is a good thing.

  This is a great park with trails, playgrounds, a lake, ball fields, a pool and picnic areas. You can actually find shade here which is nice during the summer months. There is a big playground and some smaller ones at the park. There are plenty of bathrooms around.
  Great for walking a well.

  This was a great park for the kids. They loved the playground area and there is loads of shade and nice areas to have a picnic. Beautiful lake and nice trail. Dogs enjoyed too.

  Sherando Park is a pleasant place to take a quiet walk in the woods. Trails are well-maintained and dog-friendly. There are several playground and picnic areas as well as a stocked pond for fishing. Some areas are suitable for strollers. Other recreational areas include ball parks, a swimming pool, and volleyball.
