I tried a free adult class at taekwondo works one night, and that was all it took. I was hooked. Everyone is so kind, helpful, encouraging and empowering. I was hesitant to venture to a class in the first place cause I was always afraid whether I would fit in, could afford it, or would feel any sort of accomplishment from the class. Well, I achieved all the above! The moment you walk in the folks are absolutely welcoming, always ready to provide a boost of confidence and laughter. Have I mentioned how patient everyone is? And the workout?! Holy wow! I’ve never sweat so much in my life! But boy do I feel great afterwards. I’m learning so much about myself, my body, and how to handle situations in which one would hope they’d never have to face. And I’m having an absolute blast!
