Marshall Springs At Gayton West

Just want to compliment the maintenance staff, they do a phenomenal job. Especially Devin, he is top notch, very friendly and gets the job done well. I enjoy living in this apartment complex

Marshall Springs @ Gayton West is a wonderful place to live for a few reasons. There are definitive perks to living in this area, like the vicinity to shopping and grocery. SO many options in that regard. But I'll talk about the things that are exclusive to what makes this apartment complex so exceptional:

+ Most important: the staff. Other reviews have covered this extensively, but it bears repeating -- the people (front office staff, maintenance, any support employee) is SO kind and accommodating. And not JUST when they're trying to get you in the door or when you're signing your lease. Like, the whole time you live there, they are so friendly and warm. Shout-out to Ben Funai especially (who we communicated with most often) -- just such a helpful, friendly, problem-solving oriented person. He's such an asset to the complex.

+ Maintenance was always really quick with responding to any issues, though honestly -- we didn't have many issues. I can only think of maybe 1-2 times we had to call maintenance in the year we lived there. The units are pretty new and updated -- we even had the "older" or less nice version of the appliances lol and we had no issues.

+ Again, the units itselves are just nice. Super clean, updated, and just nice touches throughout the apartments. They really take care of the properties. When we first moved in, I couldn't tell any signs that anyone lived there before us lol Good layout too -- huge closet and relatively large bathroom.

+ The sense of community and just the energy around the apartments is nice -- people + neighbors are friendly, people will wave and smile even if they don't know you. There's such a diversity of the demographics -- there's single people, couples, small families, young people, older people...it feels so safe and comfortable and friendly.

+ Packages are safe. I never had a package stolen or anything. Everything is either left in your mailbox, or right at your door (which is controlled access)

I do wish the parking gate to our lot had been fixed -- I think it's been broken around at least 2 months now? So you have to drive all the way around in the evenings which is kind of a pain. BUT -- I understand it may not be an easy fix, and that's not that big of a deal, considering the advantages.

My partner and I only lived here a year (we are only moving so we can be closer to work), but we were so pleased at the accommodation, professionalism, and affability Marshall Springs afforded us in this time. If you want to not have to have stressors about where you're living, definitely go with this place.

My wife and I moved into Marshall Springs in May 2015. We spent just over 4 years at Marshall Springs and loved everything about the community. Ben has been there since the beginning of our stay and was a consistent bright spot and smiling face of helpfulness and knowledge. The grounds were always well maintained, pool always clean and ready to use, and workout room always in great condition and up to date with equipment. Corey (sp?) and his maintenance team are truly exceptional and often went above and beyond the call of duty to help. Needless to say, they set the bar very high.
The apartments themselves are great. Nice change from a typical apartment building with 300 units in one structure. Always ample parking available. Our new place in MN is nice, but we often find ourselves missing Marshall Springs.
