“My daughter has attended A Child's Place Preschool at the West End location since she was 5 months old. She started in the infant program and has progressed through the toddler and junior preschool programs. I cannot say enough about how wonderful both the teachers and the curriculum are. My daughter's language, social, and academic skills have soared and a big part of that progress is directly related to the time and attention she has received from her teachers. We have noticed so many skills our son has learned in the toddler room- learning new words, hand signing, much better at using utensils, etc. Everytime I pick him up he seems to be having so much fun. “Glen Allen High School is more than a school, it's a family. We received tons of media scrutiny in the past few weeks out of nowhere. We are a positive school. Our school hasn't won a home game all year, but each game our student section is packed with students who continue to scream at the top of their lungs for the team they love and support. We grouped together to elect a kid diagnosed with down syndrome as our homecoming king. All of a sudden, we accidentally play a racist song during warm-ups of a football game followed by an evacuation because of bomb threats and we become the worst school ever. Not true. We evacuated approximately 2,000 people in under 6 minutes without ever practicing a drill. The student that accidentally played the racist song personally apologized in front of the school, and in front of the entire Henrico Board of Education. Last year, our Boys Varsity Baseball team and Competition Cheer Team won states. We are a prestigious school regardless of media scrutiny and misinterpreted rumors. We are the Jaguars.”

“***Important to know*** Varina Elementary school begins at 3rd grade. If your child is younger, Mehfoud is a feeder school which is pre-Kindergarten to 2nd grade. Depending on where you live, this may pertain to you. I cannot speak for Varina - yet. But i can tell you the teachers, administrators and staff of Mehfoud are top-notch. They work to positively shape the young minds of their students and their care is easy to see. The students here will not know how fortunate they are to attend here until much later in life.”

“This place is a tucked away gem! Small, intimate little place, run by a great family. Gotten to know Francesco and his family since they opened the ristorante, and the food just gets better. Coming from Italy, if you want authentic, you can get it, or if you want more "American", they can accommodate that, too! Don't believe any review on "bland", they can and will make your food to order. We often ask for pizza or read sauce to be spicy, and if you ask for recommendations, they'll be happy to suggest based on what you like (seafood, pastas, etc.). They made the transition to help folks eat *safe* and easy during the Covid-19 pandemic. Easy to order online, give them special instructions, and will even do contactless pick-up. The restaurant is truly a family business, straight from Italy, and I recommend more that you give this local business your support! Grazie!”
