  Middleburg Academy is an extraordinary private high school (9-12 with a wonderful 8th grade program). Middleburg Academy is brilliantly run by Colley and Edwina Bell. The staff and faculty are gifted, enthusiastic, caring educators.
  We have a 14 year old son currently in the ninth grade, who entered in the eighth grade program. He could not be happier!!!!
  At Middleburg Academy we have found a top academic high school experience with a dedication to STEAM, and a truly no-bullying, no drug atmosphere. There are a variety of excellent sports teams each season (with a no cut policy!), and an abundance of student clubs. Middleburg Academy has extraordinary Art, Music and Drama staff. The number and depth of the available courses and programs is impressive!
  Middleburg Academy also has a top notch college counselor. The students enjoy a superb healthy/gourmet lunch program, and stunningly beautiful campus and grounds.
  We feel fortunate to have our son attending Middleburg Academy. It is a gem of a school. I think the numerous alumni students and parents who continue to participate in school spirit events agree!!

  I have a daughter in 10th grade and we could not be more pleased. The faculty and staff are truly dedicated to the students and families enrolled here. There is a drive, energy and dedication to excellence that Mr. Bell exhibits over and over again that is directed at all facets of the school. I would encourage anyone that is looking for a co-ed, day school to attend an open house. I think you will be amazed at what a great school we have right here in our community.

  i love this school! I have been interacting with this administration involved with this school for almost four years. I have had one graduate and one currently a junior. I was a small business owner in Loudoun County for nine years and understand the commitment, dedication, passion,
  it takes running your own business and can attest to that which exists at Middleburg Academy! In my opinion there is no such thing as"perfect", however I do believe in "excellence" being the best or striving to be the best you can with your mission leading the way. I have found that to be true in both the headmaster Mr. Bell and Mrs. Bell whom also have a student attending classes there. They truly are vested in the school! They have been constantly working to get all prior faculty, administrators, families,etc. on board. It isn't easy to come into any organization with new, different ideas, methods to an existing community. There's generally a combination of resisters, cooperators, and skeptics. It is quite normal to have turnover as a result of "change" depending on how people's willingness to conform or not. You can please some people but rarely all people. In my opinion The Bell's have done an excellent job in incorporating the new while maintaining many traditions that existed before they arrived. Their hearts and efforts are in the "right" place! A place that will continue to evolve, creating openings, possibilities with the focus being on providing our children, their students the best opportunities in life. Much is continuing to develop, as in my opinion should! There isn't just one way to get anywhere, there are many and I'm with them!
  
  Unfortunately when some people do not get a response they want, an answer they want to hear, a way they want, they can become resistant, to what is possible... shut down and want to blame someone...the quickest way in modern times is twitter or review sites, yet rarely do people take the time to express their appreciation and the good things. Well things are good here, really good and I appreciate their concern and passion for my kids, all kids that want to be and do their best! Results not excuses!
  My challenge, if you are looking for an independent school that cares about your child their future, their education, has the guts to challenge them to strive to be their best, will encourage and challenge them to set out to be the difference in the world, a leader amongst leaders with respect, morals and dignity, and you don't mind small class sizes, then please take a look at this school! Additionally if your child likes to play multiple sports and find it difficult, this is another opportunity they can explore at MA. We also hold state championship titles in both Girls Varsity Volleyball 2015 and 2016 with our Coach being Washington Post Coach of the Year, and a basketball state championship in 2015!

  Middleburg Academy has changed over the years, but for the better. I am an alumna and have happily sent all of my children to the school. My youngest is a current 9th grader and I have already seen how the school has helped him to start owning his education and to advocate for himself. It’s amazing! The faculty and administration are wonderful, communicative, and really care about each individual student, not just while they are at school, but also in their everyday lives--they are truly invested in the future of these young people and encourage and support students as they grow as individuals and as leaders.
  
  My son was a senior and My daughter was a freshman the year Mr. Bell became the Head of School . I have watched as he has methodically transformed the school in every area. I have found that the administration is always available to meet with you and that the staff will respond to your questions happily. My children have all been extremely happy at school and i have found that a happy student becomes a great student.If you are looking for a school that will bring out the best in your child then you should look at Middleburg Academy. It is a small school that gives every student the opportunity to express themselves as individuals in a supportive community.

It use to be Notredame Catholic High School before it was closed down and reopened as Middleburg academy.
