  We got married at Blue Hill Farm in late September 2018 and our friends and family are still raving about how beautiful this venue is! Shirley and Waldo made us feel right at home and it made such a difference to be able to stay in their home for the entire weekend. The girls all got ready upstairs in the two bedrooms connected by a large bathroom with natural sunlight. We had our ceremony in the front yard overlooking the fall scenery and used the carriage house for our reception which fit 90 people comfortably for dinner and the lights around the yard and pool were perfect. Waldo even made a fire for the guests to enjoy! The bridal party absolutely loved the two pups and they were a part of some of our group shots :) Everything was absolutely beautiful and I can't thank Shirley and Waldo enough for helping us put together our dream day!

  Very nice bed and breakfast! If you need hair and makeup contact me! I went there to serve a bride and her bridal party and this place was amazing!

  Our wedding day was on a rainy 5th of May. The weather forecast changed daily until that day and we finally had to make a decision to execute our plan B, the rain plan. Despite the rain, everything went beautiful. Surprisingly, the rain actually stopped for the duration of the ceremony! We had multiple compliments on how beautiful the venue was also. Since the weather was unpredictable, we were unable to order almost 150 umbrellas in time, however, Waldo and Shirley kindly provided their umbrellas to guests, thankfully! Though I was very nervous about having an outdoor wedding, which was a dream of my own, Waldo and Shirley were extremely helpful throughout the entire process of planning. Blue Hill Farm is a beautiful venue with a white house sitting on green grass hill. We made a beautiful memory at the Blue Hill Farm and we are thankful to have met a great venue and the owners, Waldo & Shirley.

  Blue Hill Farm was the perfect venue for our outdoor August wedding. We were able to stay at the farm and used the carriage house for our rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. The property and views are absolutely stunning and it was only an hour away from our home in DC and just twenty minutes from the airport for all of our out of town guests. Shirley and Waldo were incredibly helpful and responsive in the months leading up to the wedding, offering up recommendations for vendors (we found our photographer, hair and makeup, hotel block, and caterer through them!) and ideas and suggestions when were weren't sure how we wanted things to look or how to set things up. They also provided so much hands on support on the day of the wedding, helping our parents decorate the wedding arch, coordinating with the other vendors, and even running to the store when we realized that that we didn't have mixers for the mixed drinks. The price was amazing considering it was for the full weekend, including room and breakfast for us and a few members of our wedding party who stayed over at the house Friday and Saturday nights. However, our one complaint is that there were a few hidden fees - little things that we were not told would cost anything and only found out about on our final invoice the day after the wedding. Overall, it was a perfect wedding and our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the venue was!

  Blue Hill Farm did not disappoint. My husband and I live in Dallas TX and during the planning process we were unable to visit the venue. My mother face-timed me walking through and I knew right away that this is where I needed to have our wedding. Shirley and Waldo were the absolute best hosts and the biggest help throughout the entire process. When I finally was able to visit the venue (4 days before the wedding day) my breath was taken away once again and I knew I made the right choice.
  I knew I had to have my wedding back home in VA where you have the mountains and natural background available. Blue Hill Farm gives you the stunning 360 view a fun and easy flowing wedding. The inside of the house where we all got ready is just perfect. The boys have their area downstairs which is ultimately where the boys watched our Alma Mater’s Foot-ball game before the big day. The girls have a stunning bathroom to get ready in along with elegant bedrooms which were stunning for photos and more than enough room to get ready in. For the bride its perfect, you are able to see what all is going on. I did not have a wedding planner so seeing my family and friends help set things up throughout the day was very helpful. The flow of the wedding is so easy with the way their land is set up. People don’t have to walk far or back and forth with whatever way you decide to have your special day set up.
  I cannot say enough good things about Blue Hill Farm, The hosts, the view and the atmosphere cannot be matched. I would not change anything about the venue and the help that you get with Shirley and Waldo is unmatched.
