I agree with all of the reviews here. The Adler Center has thought of everything and feels nothing like a hospital or nursing home. If you find yourself there you will be treated like family by the staff and others who are navigating through a similar experience. The facility itself is beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture, has a library, a stocked kitchen with shared items and essentials. There is even a grand piano that was being played which further contributed to the warm atmosphere.
The staff too were so caring. They listened to what we wanted and valued both our opinions and concerns. They were attentive while somehow still giving us the space that we needed.
The Adler Center for Caring deserves far more than 5 stars, but that is all that is allowed here. After 6 weeks at the Potomac Falls Rehab Center (which barely deserves two stars) our father was transferred to Adler Center for his final days. It is a small 21 bed facility that is so peaceful, beautiful and really amazing. Each room has its own patio/balcony with floor to ceiling windows and doors and is warm and comforting. The facility has a country kitchen for family members to use and spend time in, a very nice little chapel, a library, outdoor gardens, paths and seating areas, a gift shop and many areas to sit quietly in a group or alone. As great as the facility itself is the staff is really what makes this place so amazing. Every single person is so incredibly helpful and caring and they take such great care of not only the patients, but the grieving family members as well. I cannot say enough about the whole staff at Adler as so many that helped build and maintain this place through their generous donations.

Capital Caring was a blessing for my father and our family. From the moment we took my dad there I felt at peace. The Adler Center is absolutely beautiful and their staff is superb. Each and every person we met went out of their way to make my dad and all of us feel comfortable and at peace during the hardest moment of our lives. The nurses were very loving and gentle with their care towards my father. The doctors were amazing and made sure our dad was comfortable until the end. They also have great resources to help the family cope with the loss and all other arrangements. Jennifer the social workers was very sweet and very helpful. We had the opportunity to work with their volunteer lawyer Tony and he was amazing. I cannot put into words what a blessing the Adler Center was to our family and we are very thankful that our dad passed away so peacefully and in the care of such an amazing group.
Thank you all at Capital Caring we will forever be grateful.
This facility, and the staff here are truly special. They made the last two days of my fathers life comfortable, and dignified. While they cared for him so well, they took the time to care for us, the ones that would be left behind. His night nurse Elizabeth was one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. I will forever be grateful!
