I hired Scott to help me get legal guardianship of my late brother’s daughter. Once I looked into the process, I knew I had to hire a lawyer. I didn’t even know where to begin. My case was not so straight cut because, while this was not a contested case, my niece lived in Korea with her mother. Scott actually spent some time researching the best avenue to get custody/legal guardianship. Scott was successful in getting me the guardianship in two weeks after the submission of papers. My niece has nicely settled in as a sophomore and is having a great time studying and participating in track and field. Lastly, I received a check for the remaining of fund. I wasn’t expecting this at all because in my calculation, he did not charge me for a lot of the research he had to do, so I figured what I had given him initially would be all spent. I was very surprised by his honesty. I never had a family lawyer, but now I have one!
