“Over the past year my son has been attending this school for the summer program and after-school program. There is one Master trained from Young-In University in South Korea as well as several instructors who have been trained by DYMA. The professionalism and discipline associated with a Martial Art is great and DYMA has not disappointed. The school administrator on-site is a fantastic young lady and she has worked with us through a few issues, both with the school programs and with our child. We have been pleased with Master Shin, Master Lee, and two of the summer interns visiting from Yong-In University in South Korea. We do miss Master Lee. A bonus was that GrandMaster Jo taught for about a month and he is a phenomenal instructor, Tae Kwon Do Master, and over-all just a fantastic person to be around. Last summer there was a week-long sparring camp taught by champion instructors in Brambleton and we certainly appreciated being allowed to have our child be part of that even though our child was only a Yellow Belt. We did miss that offering this year. We have been pleased with the after-school program and were really happy that the summer program included a lot of travel to both educational sites and fun locations. Several of their competitors just have kids watch movies and maybe provide a little mat time. In this case there is about 2 hours of mat time, if they want it, time with computers, time watching movies, time learning culture, time with a second language (Korean), and about an hour of Tae Kwon Do instruction and free practice. With any business there are some growing pains. The owner of all the DYMA properties came on-site for 2 months to work through those and ensure that the facility is operating efficiently. This was due to 3 changes in Masters over the past year. With any large program with the 6-12 age group there will be some issues with the older kids and we have worked through those with the school. This has been a great experience and we certainly have been happy to be a part of the past year and look forward to the next 6 years.”
