(January 15, 2019, 9:11 pm)Love the battlefield. Would be nice if there was more parking, complete trail maps, and better signage... A lot of it is old, and in bad shape, and doesn't give much detail to "illustrate" it's information. A few signs do.
Realize this would require more federal funding (and visitors need to pay the $3 park fee...) so improvements are not an overnight deal for National Parks.
Always a nice place to get out for a local hike of any duration desired! -

(January 10, 2019, 2:49 pm)You can drive through the battlefield with no charge...unless you turn off the main road and go closer to various sites. One thing to note is that because of the normal growth of vegetation, this isn't how it looked during the Civil War. However, with a little imagination, you can still see cannons firing and horses charging along with plenty of blue and gray soldiers.

(December 26, 2018, 1:31 pm)Great place for Civil war history. Amazing reenactments over the summer time. Well kept and huge, so much to see here. The shop has a variety of things to buy. Always worth a revisit.

(November 15, 2018, 5:28 pm)I've visited the Henry House Hill section of the battlefield a few times. Nicely preserved area. It can be walked around in only a few hours, a good afternoon's hike. The visitor's center is a nice place to start, learn about the battle before walking around the ground itself.
