I moved into apt P3 in March of 95. I felt like I’d found heaven! I lived there in the time of Charlie, Florence, Carlton, Mike, Joy & i. We started having fish barbecues every weekend if not everyday. We created a crime watch program so that’s how all the get togethers started & the barbecues. I also put all those lights on the tree in back. St James carries part of my heart forever. I moved in 2000 & have missed it. I’m full of wonderful stories about life at St James!! A oasis in the city! In my time it was known as a place of artist & intelect & love!! I’m on the waiting list to move back again, finally going “home”
I have lived at St James Terrace almost 6 months now and I am very pleased. The neighbors have all been pleasant, with the exception of one very yappy dog, but honestly there's nothing you can do about that. When I first saw these apartments advertised online, I thought there is absolutely no way they could be any good at that price. But they are actually quite nice. The moulding and trim is especially nice! I love it! The floors are beautiful. Everything is well maintained. There really is not much noise, and as a night shift worker, that is very important to me! The beach is not huge, but it is really nice to be able to go down to the beach any time. I love going to collect shells. The laundry facilities are always clean and well-maintained. Really the only complaint I have is the parking situation. On the weekends when I get home from work there is virtually nowhere to park on either street or lot, and when you are that tired, it can be really exhausting trying to find a place to park and walk home. Other than that, I absolutely love my apartment and the view I have. And it's such an amazing area rich in history!
I lived there for my first year in VA. I loved living here! The community is beautiful, there is a vegetable garden, pool, volleyball court and a beach! The neighbors are all welcoming and close. We always have a nice movie night on the beach and picnics next to the pool. The apartment itself has hardwood floors and lots of windows!
