  Dr. Holroyd is an amazing practitioner. My wife and I had been "therapist shopping" for a number of years until we found Dr. Holroyd. We had to relocate because of the military and had poor experiences with other couples counseling in the Tidewater Area. Dr. Holroyd's process for us was to identify our patterns of behavior that was causing conflict so that we could recognize the cycle and refocus the conversation and behaviors. The part that was so unique as compared to other therapists was she did not let us get bogged down on the specific events, instead we focused on the behaviors. With other therapists it always felt like we focused on the past with the hopes either of us would be vindicated by reliving and/or retelling events that caused each of us pain. This was an extremely painful process, usually left us defeated, and gave no real guidance moving forward. Conversely, Dr. Holroyd focused on moving forward and minimized the back and forth arguing. The process was not easy, but I generally left our sessions with hope for the future and specific actions to address. She is extremely compassionate and her intuition is spot on. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

  I have to leave a completely "unbiased" review of my wife! I've known her since 1982 and I can tell you that you will be blessed beyond belief to have her in your life! Having known me this long she's experienced everything, so nothing will surprise her!!! She's honest, very hard working and the must trustworthy person I've ever met. Her communication skills are unmatched (I speak from experience!.... sidebar...when I'm in trouble she uses words I don't understand and I have to use Google!). If you're searching for a solid marriage and you're willing to actually do the work, because it definitely requires hard work, you won't find a better person. Relationships aren't easy, but if you put in the work, the rewards are immeasurable!! Your children's children will thank you!! She's amazing and yes, I married way over my head!

  I have never been so comfortable in a therapists office. Victoria is welcoming, kind, and relatable. It feels more like a living room or a home than an office. Truly a great place to heal and grow.
  Also she has a pretty cute dog :)

  Dr Holroyd and her staff are warm, caring professionals who go above and beyond the line of duty. Neither I or my partner felt like just another client. We had tried other local couples therapists and Dr. Holroyd was the most knowledgeable therapist who gave us solid tools to us right away. We appreciate all the time and effort given to make our relationship stronger.

  Dr. Holroyd came highly recommended. We had to wait for an appointment but the experience was well worth it. We have been to other counselors and couple workshops but never felt they were worth the time or money. She was able to help us repair our relationship, strengthen our friendship and really help us get back on track. The Hold Me Tight workshop experience was EXTREMELY helpful.
