  Would definitely stay here again. An older motel but well-maintained. Great price. Excellent location if you have a car. Just 15-15 minute drive to all major attractions. 5-minute walk to a nice stretch of beach. Staff were conscientious about cleaning. Staff were very courteous and accommodating. Room was comfortable and had refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, and large flat-screen TV.

  The Bay Inn is a small, clean budget friendly hotel in a nice area. Beach access is across the street from the location. The property was immaculate! A nice surprise that the rooms had a microwave and small refrigerator/freezer. I highly recommend this place especially if you are looking for an inexpensive, CLEAN room!

  We were in Norfolk on a spur of the moment event so we didn't book ahead. We also had no clue if we were going to be there for one night or more. Having stayed at The Bay Inn before we wanted to stay there for this trip. At first the owner said he was booked, but he caught us before we left and made accommodations for us. Not only that, but he said if our circumstances called for it he would see that we had a room for the second night. In my opinion he went out of his way to make sure we had a comfortable and clean place to stay while there. As I said we have stayed there before and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Callie is a real treat as well. Five stars, A+, Blue ribbon, and any thing else I can think of. Great folks who take care of their guests. Now that our son has retired from the Navy I don't know when or if we will be in Norfolk again, but rest assured The Bay Inn will be our place to stay.

  Great hotel! Has all the basics you need, is about a 1 minute walk to beach, and the owners are super cool. They let my kids pick tomatoes from their garden. If you want to stay at a local owned hotel that is reasonably priced and close to the beach, look no further. They are also renovating all the rooms so it will be even better. If or when I'm back in the area, there is no doubt I'll be staying here again!

  Great priced room with coffee pot, fridge and microwave. Super friendly owners. Has a community garden and let my grandsons devour all their cherry tomatoes. Just like they were family. Fabulous location, walking distance to beach. Will absolutely recommend to anyone coming to VA Beach area.
