  Great place to camp for $15! Loved visiting here. I will definitely be back.
  
  Pros:
  -large site, some have room for two tents, some have bear storage
  -picnic bench
  -fire pit with grill top
  -reserve-able online
  -quick drive to the perfect sunrise spot
  -good price
  
  Cons:
  -further away from the good hikes
  -no showers
  -lots of loud kids
  -fills up quickly
  -food/firewood not sold on site

  Matthews Arm Campground is a great place to camp inside of Shenandoah National Park. This campground is located near many of the parks hiking trails and the Matthews Arm gift shop. This campground has bathrooms, showers (that are coin operated), and firewood for sale. The staff here is extremely friendly and will even bring some treats to share with your pup.

  The sites are clean and well kept. Restrooms are close as well as parking. There is a nice 2 mile hike to a waterfall. Bear proof storage as well as campfire/grill supplied!

  Hiked to the falls from here, everything was beautiful and everyone was friendly and helpful.
  
  We even had deer standing right off the trail who didn't seem to mind us at all as we hiked past, and then as we we're going back out to skyline we saw a little bear sitting right at the edge of the woods.
  
  The whole stop was incredible.
