  Evan and his team were incredible. He's a wonderful instructor and the training he provides is incredibly useful for day-to-day self defense tactics. The class size was small, it was held outdoors, and we had plenty of time to learn how to skillfully defend ourselves using his rentals and ammo. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

  My friend and I took an intro private AR-15 class. I hadn't handled a weapon in almost 20 years. Our instructor was thorough, patient, very down to earth, and above all SAFE. He created a very comfortable atmosphere where you didn't feel like a dork asking a basic question. Speaking of which, he was very knowledgeable. When I take my next firearm class, I am definitely coming back to Innovative Defensive Solutions. I highly recommend them.

  The IDS Fundamentals of Defensive Carry course was a great introduction to the different types of handguns, calibers, and holsters you're likely to encounter. It also covered the physiological responses that are likely to occur during a stressful event and the principles behind creating an effective grip to control your defensive hand gun.
  
  The background and principles above provided the evidence behind and justification for the training techniques taught. The drills that we practiced did a great job of showing how the concepts related to the real world and the instruction and tips on improving technique were spot on. Thanks!

  Wow!! Great course. Far more than I expected. Evan was professional, informative and clearly knows what he's doing. The information and skills I learned make me feel a lot more confident and prepared to protect my home and family. Along with that he refined my stance and grip in a matter of minutes and my accuracy improved dramatically. Highly recommended. I have tried courses like this online but there is absolutely no substitute for the one-on-one training. I will be back for the followup courses. Thanks.

  I recently took a private introductory course to pistol. The Class was awesome! Mr. Evan Carson is one superb instructor and knows the material very well. Any questions and concerns I had, he was able to straighten out. I Feel much safer and smarter with the knowledge from this course. Will definitely be back for future training.
