I was sent there by my primary care physician as I experienced shortness of breath, chills and chest tightness. The staff were amazing, friendly and attentive in making me feel better. Didn't wait at all and they were quick in getting tests done one after another to get answers. They made sure I was not alone for long and within a short time I left with answers and treatment. I have found my ER if I'm in need.

I have been going here for years for my emergency care and I’m always treated with excellent care! The staff is always nice, and courteous and I’ve never had to wait. Lab work, xrays everything is handled with speed and efficiency. This is the best place to go when you’re not feeling well!!!

We have been here twice in the last two months for a heart problem. Both times, care and attention was Excellent. All different staff on duty the second time, care equally excellent. He was well attended both times. This is a fully equipped ER that can handle anything the hospital ER can handle only quicker because it isn’t as busy. If you are going to an ER and are thinking it’s serious enough for the hospital, this is our first choice because we know we will get right in. If you have to be admitted, they will transport you over to the main hospital. Both times that’s what they did for my husband. He came in with a heart rate of 220 and they were all over it. They ran 2 lines, recognizing a blood clot danger and started heparin immediately. Once he was stabilized, after several hours, they transported him to Sentara to be admitted (actually they did all the admitting stuff before he left so there was no delay- they took him right to his room). When he had a problem again, that’s where we went again, and a completely different staff/doc took care of him in the same way. This time was the middle of the night. He presented differently the second time, but they knew what they were doing and also called his cardiologist to consult. Once he was stabilized, about 8:30 am, they transported him. I recommend this ER highly. It is fully equipped ER, not a minute clinic, and in our experience is very well staffed with competent and caring people. We are thankful to have a great emergency facility in the area.
