Being at the Mercy House has transformed my life. It has given me my family back. Most importantly it has given me a place to heal. Yes, 12 months is a long time but considering all the years I spent messing my life up it really isn’t long enough, but it gave me a start. It has given me a foundation to begin the rest of my life. I am more than grateful for everything the leaders have done for me. They are understanding because most of them have been through this program themselves. They let you do YOUR program. Yes, there are rules and yes you work but I needed that structure and self-discipline in my life to be able to heal and grow. I praise God for letting me have the honor of coming to the Mercy House.

The Mercy House of New Life for Adults and Youth, is a great place where I have restored my relationship with my family. It is a very supportive and structured program. If you want your life to change, the best advice I can give is give this program a chance. I love being here and I am staying for the 6-month internship they offer as well. Twelve months was not long enough to reach the healing goal I am striving for.

What I love the most is that you can come as you are and they have some of the best mentors ever. There is a monthly family and support. They also have a thrift store and car wash which helps the students learn job skills.

New Life for Adults and Youth is one of the most amazing places I have ever seen. They truly care about people and are willing to work through financial difficulty. They just want people to get the help they need. I came in 2006-2007 to overcome heroin addiction. My life had been totally destroyed by addiction and I was barely hanging onto life. The amazing love and care that was given to me was beyond anything I hoped for or deserved. I have been clean and sober for over 13 years now and can say that New Life truly changed my life! I am living a full and happy life, today and have recommended the program to so many people who have also overcome addiction with their help.
