  Our daughter has been attending this school for over a year (starting at 16 months). She absolutely loves it and so do I. As a former teacher, I love the independence and variety of lessons that the students use in each classroom. I also appreciate that they don't cater to helicopter parents. If you want daily pictures and a report of diaper changes, this school isn't for you. But if you want a school where children are respected and given tools to explore and self-learn, then this is definitely the place. I've always been impressed by how every teacher knows our daughter, even the teachers from older classes that she hasn't had yet. It shows how much care they put into the students throughout the whole school. She comes home every day with stories of what she and her friends and teachers did together that day.

  The teachers and staff at MAV Suffolk are amazing!! They take great care of the kids and the school. They have worked so hard over the past year to keep the kids safe and healthy and keep them learning and having fun. I am constantly amazed at the knowledge my son brings home from school... Spanish words.... science facts... geography... famous artists. It really is amazing all the stuff he gets to learn. Thanks for everything and keep up the great work!

  Our daughter has been attending Montessori for 3 years now and we could not think of a better school for her to be in! We love that the size of the school really allows for close relationships between the students and staff, providing a safe feeling for the parents!! We were ecstatic to find out that this location would be expanding into higher grades than when we initially signed our daughter up. We have seen our daughter grow so much while being at this school, and I don’t think she would get this education anywhere else.

  Montessori Academy of Virginia Suffolk campus has been a excellent learning environment for my 6 year old daughter! She has attended the school for three years and has learned so many academic and life lessons. Ms. Yoko has been a wonderful and responsive teacher. She has been a consistent presence in her education. I would highly recommend this educational environment for a youth who is curious about learning! You and them will be pleasantly surprised!

  This school is absolutely wonderful. We started our daughter off in October 2020, a month after the school year started. She had been home for 7 months in light of the pandemic and it was definitely a hard transition for her in the beginning. The staff was so attentive to her needs and assured us that she would be fine, and she was! The teachers are so sweet and keep us informed of her progress regularly in the form of notes and extensive report cards. They provide a structured but encouraging learning environment and it really shows in the number of skills our daughter has learned. She absolutely loves going to school and all of her teachers. The weekly STEM class is her favorite. We’re so glad we found MVA!
