My wife and I have had a most pleasant experience working with Sadler Building Corporation. We expected building a custom home to be complex and complicated. We knew that there would be a lot of moving pieces that would be difficult to follow, but thanks to Sadler's deliberate process and working with us closely, we always felt that we were aware of what was happening every step of the way. Even though we were located in Northern Virginia as our Suffolk, VA home was being built, we found that telephone meetings and just a few trips to the area were sufficient to keep the momentum going, keep up with things, and make appropriate and timely selections and decisions. We were pleasantly surprised to find that when we came to Suffolk to meet with Ed Sadler and Brad Walker, they devoted those days to us entirely, which gave us time to make carefully thought-through decisions without being rushed. They both are extremely knowledgeable about home construction and were able to address all of our questions and issues either immediately, or knew where to go to get the appropriate answers. They also were able to make recommendations that we found to be extremely helpful. Throughout the process, the Sadler Team was very personable and polite and a pleasure to work with. This attitude also was apparent when we visited the worksite where John, the Site Superintendent, would greet us and provide a spot progress report and projection of scheduled work. If we ever build another home in an area where the Sadler Building Corporation does business, we definitely will go to them to have the work done. We contracted with Sadler to build a custom home in Spring 2017. Construction started in June and was finished in November 2017, two months ahead of schedule. Our experience working with Sadler was very good, from beginning to end.

They were very supportive when we wanted something done that was outside the usual norm. For example, we wanted the furnaces and water heater installed in the garage instead of the attic, and the A/C discharge lines routed differently than the installers wanted. Sadler representatives helped figure out how it could be done the way we wanted.

They were quick to answer our questions and thoroughly explained things we didn’t understand. We learned a lot, in a good way, about what goes into building a house and have a much better understanding of a house and of everything about our house.

We were provided almost unlimited access to the build site throughout the construction of our house. Sadler representatives never acted like ours was just another house. They seemed to appreciate our interest and excitement in the entire process.

We had been warned by many people that having a custom home built would be a stressful experience. That was not true in our case. Sadler representatives kept it fun and exciting, and we would definitely go with Sadler again if we’re ever in the market to have another new house built. We would definitely recommend them to family and friends in the market for a custom-built home. Any problems that have come up since we took possession of the house have been minor and quickly resolved. We have a beautiful comfortable home that we’re very proud of, with everything we could want, and expect to enjoy for many years to come. There is absolutely no buyer’s remorse here!
