(October 5, 2019, 7:55 am)When I moved to VB in 2007, I was amazed at how many public and neighborhood parks the city maintained. This sentiment is echoed by many of my fellow transplant friends.
I've recently become a member of the Kempsville Rec Center (only took me 12 years) and was blown away at the value I got for just over $10 per month as a resident.
While I wish there were more swim lanes at this location, seeing all the kids enjoying the play area makes it worth it. Growing up in New England, you had to drive hours to get to a water park that offered those type of amenities.
My personal trainer, Ardelia, is outstanding. She is creative and flexible and extremely motivating.
