  Best surf shop in VB! Old school relaxed vibe, no pressure to buy anything. Veteran owned and operated. If nothing else just a great place to go hang out and talk to some good people. Also BEST DING REPAIR IN VB amazing work they are doing!

  My experience buying a custom board from 40 Toes was outstanding! Randy was extremely helpful in helping me pick out the right shape and dimensions based on my experience and preferences. Through the whole process Randy gave me updates and pics of my board being built from start to finish. The board is awesome and is exactly what I was hoping for. My 6'4" Boot paddles great and does well even in smaller, weaker surf. I think that says a lot about Randy's design and shaping skills given that I was used to riding a 7'6" funshape! Overall, great experience in buying from 40 Toes.

  Great guys here building quality boards. If you need ding repair, want a custom board or learn to make your own surfboard then check these guys out. They also carry a great selection of local brands and their own shapes.

  If you’re looking for a board, look no further. Randy is awesome and super friendly, will take you around the shop and talk you through all the options and help construct the perfect board for you. Turn around is pretty quick and you’ll get the perfect board for you. They have a solid quiver and will adjust for your needs.
  
  You can buy off the rack if they have what you’re looking for as well. Avoid the big shops that just try to push boards on you, get a custom board for the same price and support a small business.

  These guys are so friendly and helpful and just a good group of chill and knowledgeable dudes. Whether you are new to surfing or a true shredder, 40 toes has something to offer, whether it’s a new custom board or a good conversation. Aside from fixing my board in record time and for an unbeatable price, they gave me an extensive tour of the workshop and described in passionate detail their partner companies and why they do what they do. This place has got it going on. Cheers to you, and keep up the exceptional work!
