My name is David Testerman, I got covid September 2020 I have been suffering from insomnia, chronic sleep deprivation, anxiety, ptsd and depression so, I started seeing a psychiatrist and therapist at different company for about 4 months the service was terrible they were no help with my issues so I stopped going there.
I needed a new company to serve my mental health needs so I decided to give Beach Counseling a try. That was the best decision I made. It has been a 5-star experience from the office staff and healthcare staff.
Specifically, I want to call out my psych. Doctor Denise Trent she has been a godsend trying to help me with my issues it has been a year and a half dealing with this, she has gone above and beyond we are making progress with my condition finally, things were looking pretty bleak for me I haven’t had a positive outlook on life for a long time, she has turned that around for me. I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Trent. She listened to my needs, past problems and we came up with a plan to address those issues.
She is a shining example of what 5-star customer service is and the quality healthcare provided by Beach counseling and their staff. I would highly recommend them to family, friends, and or anybody else for that matter for their 5-star customer service and Doctor Denise Trent for her outstanding healthcare and service!

I would definitely recommend coming here; very clean office, and the front desk made me feel comfortable scheduling my first session. The staff are all professional and helpful.

Beach Counseling is extremely friendly and welcoming. The front desk was helpful and set me up with my first appointment, it was easy and a simple process, made something new to me a very good experience, I look forward to continuing going to Beach counseling they’ve been great.

I wanted to express my feelings on how wonderful Beach Counseling is doing in their response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the mental health provider shortage in Virginia and especially Virginia Beach area. In these most difficult and stressful of times, they have stood out as a leader in the community by going over and beyond the call to help and make themselves available. It is difficult for us all right now, patients and providers after a year and a half of dealing with this pandemic. I’m grateful to Beach Counseling. All my patients (and/or family members) who have been there all had positive things to say about their on going experience! Their providers have been a huge help to me as a pediatrician with my adolescent population and their families. We are all burnt out and I’m so grateful they continue to serve the community with quality, compassion, and excellent care. Keep up the good work! I appreciate you guys! We need more mental health providers like you helping our families in need, while we need families to understand the high demand for a limited amount of providers willing to go the extra mile to keep their doors open to new patients while trying to maintain their already over worked schedules. Again, thanks for all you do! You have been a huge help to my patients!!
