(October 11, 2022, 9:27 am)The members of the congregation are very warm and friendly specially to visitors since they get a lot of tourists. The parish priest Fr Steve is engaging and funny and always has a joke or two when he does his homily. I would recommend a visit to this church if anyone wants to attend Sunday mass and experience their service.
Don't be alarmed to see a police officer in the church; Fr Steve has decided to hire an off duty officer to make the parishioners feel safe during worship, after all the things that has happened in churches around the country. -

(April 9, 2022, 3:14 pm)This is one of the oldest Catholic parishes in Virginia Beach and the only Catholic church near the boardwalk. They had renovated the building a few years back and made it more accomodating and spacious and have a hall that can host social events. It also gets used as additional worship space during holy days when there is a bigger congregation that attend the celebration.
The parish priest, Father Steve, was appointed several years ago and has been a joy to the parishioners and has been welcomed with open arms. He always gives a good homily and makes everyone laugh with his jokes.
They always welcome visitors and always acknowledge them, whether residents or tourists. This church also has been a favorite for marathoners who come to the beach to compete because Father Steve has been known to pray and bless the runnners during the Saturday mass before the Sunday race.
This is a good place to worship with your family! -

(January 19, 2022, 9:30 am)Always a beautiful celebration of the Mass at this church. I attend went in town and look forward to worshiping with Fr. Steve as the Celebrant. The congregation is welcoming. Fr. Steve always gives a beautiful homily. Truly a blessing to attend, worship, and praise!
