  My son’s birthday was coming up and I decided to contact Gateaux Bakery for a special request of individually wrapped cake pops for my son’s classroom celebration. In the past, we have tried a few sweet treats from Gateaux Bakery that a family friend let us sample of their milk bread, brownies, and cake. Everything we have tried has been delicious. The sweet treats are always packaged nice and taste fresh. So when I was in the market for cake pops, I immediately thought of Gateaux Bakery.
  
  I had a hard time finding a full menu anywhere online, and I ended up calling them about my request. The very kind lady that answered couldn’t give me a firm answer about being able to make the individually wrapped cake pops and told me the baker, Ashley, would have to call me back the next day to confirm my request. I didn’t receive a call back next day, but did receive a call back 48 hours later from Ashley. Ashley was very accommodating. I requested twenty-four individually wrapped cake pops- twelve chocolate over chocolate cake pops with rainbow sprinkles and twelve white chocolate over yellow cake pops with rainbow sprinkles. All would be individually wrapped for $36 for pick-up the following week (at my request). I had to pay for the order in advance over the phone, since it was a special request, but I felt it was a reasonable request. Plus, I felt good about the conversation I had with Ashley.
  
  And when I went to pick up my order the following week, I must say, Gateaux Bakery DELIVERED! Not only were the cake pops individually wrapped and separated by flavor, they were individually secured with a metallic twist tie and carefully placed in a nice box for safe keeping. I was also pleasantly surprised how large the cake pops were- about an inch and a half in diameter. My son was very excited about his cake pops and said they were a big hit with the students and teachers. I didn’t have a chance to sample one, but I was told they were delicious.
  
  I am very pleased with Gateaux Bakery. They were accommodating to my special request, reasonably priced, and ensured I was a happy customer! I’ll be patronizing this bakery more often and highly recommend them.

  Ordered a birthday cake for my son and it’s amazing. Personally not a big fan of cake but it really impressed me. Detail and taste is 10/10. Would recommend to friends and family.

  Ashley was such a sweetheart and created the perfect cake for one of my best friends weddings. Looked just like the picture I showed her and it tasted incredible! Thank you for your kindness and awesome talent!

  Wanted to give a shout out to this amazing Bakery in Virginia Beach! The scones are soft any yummy, and I love the sourdough homemade bread which I use to make the tastiest French toast ever!! They have cookies and quiches too. So excited to find this place so close to my house. 5 stars all the way!

  I had been searching for a good quality icing and cake all over Hampton roads. I got the naked cake and made the icing a blush pink. Topped with fresh flowers. I am really particular about my icing. The cake was perfect. The butter cream icing wasn’t heavy or sweaty like some cakes you get from other places. The vanilla cake was moist. The icing melted on your tongue almost like cotton candy. Everybody loved the cake. Even my friends who only eat whipped cream icing preferred this home made butter cream sugar icing cake. Will definitely get it again.
