Grand Mart

One of my most favorite international stores. Huge variety of fresh produce and fresh and frozen seafood. Live crabs when in season. Live crayfish when in season of course. All the noodles. The meat and seafood prices are very reasonable. The store could be cleaner. But at least it doesn't smell bad like some places I've been. It is in the hood but it's safe. It's busy but the lines go fast. Customer service is ok. Some of the employees don't speak English so if that's your only language you can't really ask where something might be. Most speak Spanish and I've heard Tagalog spoken there to. I love this place. They have an entire section dedicated to appliances and kitchen tools and gadgets. I believe you can even buy hot food in the back.

Great variety, and a wonderful selection. If you need a spice or produce item that is hard to find in chain supermarkets, Grand Mart is where you want to go. But the market is very pungent. Perhaps because of the blend of foods and spices from so many cultures, but, if they could figure out how to ventilate better, I would give 5 stars. The location is very central in the Tidewater area, so, wherever you live, it would be a pretty direct route to get to.

A place for all the shopping needs and more than you want.
So many country staples and special treats. Empty out your cabinets and fridges before you go, you'll wanna stock up.
Prices are fair, food is fresh and in abundance.
You'll find just about everything for your meal prep and /or an actual meal already ready.
The employees and staff are friendly and really hardworking. Keeping up with all this must be overwhelming but they keep great attitudes.
My pictures are few, there is soo much more, and things run out and come back and change from time to time. Keep shopping be happy. 😊

The variety items found at this store absolutely amazes. I am able to purchase hard to fine produce and discover foods I've previously never had.

They definitely are not short on staff who will help locate an item you're searching for. That's a huge plus and a reason why I continue to shop here.

Esthetics could use some updates but not a deal breaker.

I always go to Grand Mart when I crave a variety of fresh caught fish. I get about four different types. The butcher butterflies, filet, and take the heads off within a few minutes. This store carries everything you need if you’re from across the pond. They stay open late which is so convenient. I gave four stars because I feel they could carry some AA skin and hair products. I have fun looking at all the seasonings. I love the sake.
