“Lived here all my life and never knew this place existed until recently. It's a great local establishment for street tacos and a nice selection of beers. The margaritas being made looked great too. We will definitely be going back. Be prepared to park at a meter as the shared parking lot is quite small.”

“We ordered pizza tonight at 6pm. We were told delivery would be one & a half hrs. That's okay. We call back at 8pm & were told order is out for delivery & also they are taking no more orders because they are overwhelmed. Order arrives 10 minutes later. Pizza is warm, not hot & missing wings. That's okay because it is safer to reheat food at this time. I would like to give a shout out to Mathew & our delivery driver. Thank you for working so hard during this crisis in our nation & I hope everyone shows tremendous patience. The pizza was yummy. :)”

“The best pizza in VA Beach! New York style, thin crispy crust, great tasting sauce with the perfect amount of cheese. My wife and I drive 40 minutes for this pizza a couple times a month. Today it was pepperoni. Great pizza and the service is above and beyond. The kids that work there really want to be there. They come from all over Europe mainly Eastern Med for the summertime crowds at the beach. Very friendly and eager to help, they make the visit even better.”

“Very cute place with amazing smoothie bowls, some of the best I’ve had. The Blue Majik was tasty and very filling. This place DOES have its own parking lot, which is rare for oceanfront! Also there’s a pretty flower dangling outside that I added a picture of.”

“The free glazed donut for my COVID vaccination card was hot, fresh and heavenly. However, this store appears to be much like a lot of other food places right now...short-staffed! I hope to see all businesses up to optimal staff soon. Get vaccinated!”

“It was late, real late, and I was hungry. Placed my order through Slice. It came fast. Ordered the chicken parmesan sub, and bacon cheese fries. It was nothing fancy but it was good. I was just glad to have a place available to deliver at that time. Will certainly be a return customer.”

“Small location, but doesn't lack on supplies. For Dam Neck Annex, it's really the only good place for food during lunch. Staff are friendly and quick with your sandwiches. Portions for toppings are decent in size as well.”

“I havent eaten here in almost 5 years and am planning on partaking in their fabulous food. The real reason I am posting this review is simply because of their signage posted on their front door. I cant thank Waterman's ownership, management and staff for their strong belief in the United States Constitution and what it stands for. I hope this literature gets attention and thanks to everyone there!!! I appreciate you and will continue to support businesses like this one!! Job well done!!!”

“Great bar up top. Great views good drinks unfortunately would never stay in the hotel as they gave our room away 25 minutes after calling and leavinga message stating your room is ready. Went to the front desk only to find out our room for some reason she didn't know was giving to another person. I told them to just call us and plz don't waste our time any more thanks. Basically we had to just wait around till it got sorted out. Witch kinda messed our trip up. We had plans but they got canceled because the hotel didn't have there u know what together. I don't mean to be so blunt but I feel they need to get some things together. All in all I'm still enjoying myself in the breeze overlooking the VA BEACH!”

“I had a crab cake sandwich. My wife had a fried flounder filer sandwich. They both were delicious. French fries and cole slaw were tasty as well. I forgot to get hush puppies. Their bakery is opening June 1st. Two outdoor tables.”

“This restaurant is located in a good location with plenty of parking. Staff is always very helpful and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a table. They get our food and drinks out quickly. They're margaritas are excellent and very flavorful, as well as the food. There's both indoor and outdoor seating for the warmer months. Overall, the place is kept very clean.”

“We are new in town and decided to walk down the boardwalk and stop when we found a place for breakfast that looked inviting. Katie's was easily accessible from the boardwalk and had a fantastic view of the ocean. I ordered the French toast breakfast and my husband ordered the crab omelette with hollandaise sauce. Both were excellent! The waitress took great care of us. We really enjoyed the food and the experience. We can't wait to go back!”

“My food was 5 stars but those with me were disappointed. Hubby described the pasta as tasteless. My friend was charged extra to replace a side with mac and cheese which is normal except, the mac looked like it came straight from an old school $1 box of Kraft, you know the powdered cheese kind! My crab cake was perfect and my other friends' fish and chips were delicious. Fried shrimp was not available so the pasta was a second choice and ended up being a huge regret.”

“The staff was incredibly friendly, they offered myself and my dog indoor and outdoor seating (we chose outdoor) and they brought him some water plus a peanut butter biscuit which he LOVED! I had the spinach salad and the blackened salmon alfredo which were surprisingly just enough portion wise to not feel like it was a heavy meal. I enjoyed my time there.”

“Everything about this place is a 5 out 5. Everyone from the owner to security is chill and accommodating. The dancers are beautiful, lighthearted, and alluring and the waitress was on top of her game all night. Couldn't have asked for a better bachelor party, I'm sure my friends will be back. LOL”

“Great locally owned place to meet your peeps for drinks in the bar, dine in the main dining room or celebrate a special occasion...or any old day at the chef's table. The chef's table has a great view of the goings on of the kitchen...and if you are lucky Chef, and owner, Alvin Williams may come out and say 'hey'. It's especially hard to not get a burger when you go here because they are for sure bangin'!”

“We had two deluxe House salads mozzarella sticks and a large half pepperoni and cheese. The salads come with plenty of vegetables, the mozzarella sticks were some of the best we've ever had and the pizza was very very tasty. We had a new person being trained as our server. They did a great job getting our order taken and getting our food out in a timely. This is definitely not one of those chain restaurants, you can feel the family love. Can't wait to try some more of their pizzas.”

“Sunnyside Cafe & Restaurant is located along Atlantic Avenue at 5th Street at the the Oceanfront. The place is easy to find along Atlantic Ave., but parking is limited in the back. You won't be able to park in the hotel parking next door. My visit here was on January 1, 2020. Each new year, we try to visit a place that we haven't been to before. We decided to give this place a try, as we normally don't go down to the oceanfront. We got here around 9 am. It was already busy, but we were immediately seated. Within moments, our server came to the table. We decided to go with having a Bloody Mary for a drink while we looked over the menu. A few minutes later, our server came back over and we were ready to order. I ended up going with their French Toast Combo with all bacon as the meat. My mom went with the Classic Eggs Benedict. About 10 minutes later, our orders came out to the table. The food came out very hot. It's always good when it comes out hot. The French Toast was really good, along with the bacon and eggs. Butter was adequate. I asked about apple butter, but they didn't have that, so I went with syrup instead. Although they don't do it here, I do prefer a heated syrup instead of a cold syrup. My mom said that the Classic Eggs Benedict were good as well. We didn't get much further interaction with our server until after we were done and were ready for the check. I can understand in this case with them having several tables to manage. Overall, this was a very good first visit for breakfast. I didn't really pay attention to the decor in here on this visit since it was so busy. The service was okay as they were spread pretty thin that day, but the food overall was really good. If you are down at the oceanfront, this is a great place to check out for breakfast.”

“Was looking for something quick to eat but wanted a variety since it was going to be 2 adults with 2 teens. Once inside it was easy for everyone to decide on something. Where we sat, we were able to see everything was being freshly made. Everything came out great! Even my order which was just a salad with grilled chicken. The grilled chicken was cut into nice small pieces making it so I had chicken in every bite of my salad. They have great combo meals as well. Good prices.”

“It was a pretty clean buffet, lots of options everything seemed pretty fresh. Having tasted bad and we didn't see any bugs except for one fly around the outside but he didn't come inside. Got to give it to him they put on a pretty decent buffet.”
