“I went to this school grades K, 1-2, and 4-5. I moved for third grade (military) but loved it so much I begged my mother to return. The teachers i had here were amazing. They care about more than your education. They care about your well being too. I am now a freshman at the Legal Studies Academy at First Colonial High School, and I don't think I would've had the grades or work ethic I have and needed to get into this school without my teachers here. I am proud to have once been a Thalia Eagle.”

“The Goddard School on McComas Way in Virginia Beach has felt like home for many years for our children. We started our 14 year old son there at just 9 months old. He continued through kindergarten and even went back for their summer camp with his long time classmates. After starting public school in 1st grade, it was apparent that our son was grading at a higher level. He was also tested into the gifted program. I attribute his higher testing level to the early education that he received from the Goddard School McComas Way. A few years after our 1st son started public school, we moved to the Chesapeake area. We now have a 2nd son that’s 2 1/2 and drive passed several childcare facilities to take him back to the same Goddard school our oldest attended. No distance is too far to ensure our kids receive the best possible education, love and care provided to them. The owners, directors and teachers are the best around!”

“I was a foreign student that spoke little to no english. I was there thru 7th and 8th grade in 2003-2004. I was very sad because it was all so new and strange. But my -then new- classmates specially Jerrica Johnson (we had a lot.of.classes together and walked with me in the hallways) made me feel very safe and well liked. The teachers also made me feel safe special shout out to Ms. Lewis from math class, Mr Doupe from science class, Ms. Sharp from English class. And my ESL teacher that sadly I can't remember her name. You guys were my rock! Thank you for making my experience all that better and less stressful. I hope IMS still is a beacon of light for kids as it was for me and what I remember it being for students overall. ---- the only teacher i had problems with was P.E. good thing i have forgotten her name... she was really nasty. I have scoliosis and even after showing her 2 doctors notes that I cant run for fun or sports she still wanted me to run. It wasn't until my father went to the principal that i was able to just pass that darn class.”

“Absolutely love this center! My son is currently in the infant room and all of his teachers are amazing! It’s really reassuring to bring him here every day and see him smiling and excited to see them. All the teachers in the infant room are incredibly friendly and so enthusiastic about their jobs it’s refreshing! I wish I enjoyed going to work every day as much as they seem to. “Childtime of VB is hands down, the best place I could have taken my 2 children to. From the infant room to the 2's room, I had full confidence that my babies were being cared for and loved. The routine and curriculum is great too. My kids always had a smile on their face when they saw their teachers. That is the biggest reassurance to any working parent! Brenda and TeKayla are amazing in the infant room, Dusty was so patient and worked wonders with my daughter, and Ashley and Quen are fantastic!”
