After leaving an unfavorable review previously I find this practice much improved. The P.A. was very competent, professional yet friendly. Follow-up with referrals was amazing. I'm so glad I came back!
Online portal is very convenient for scheduling appointments. Yes, most of the physicians are P.A.'s, but I find them to be completely competent and capable of handling my care. I've found scheduing to be timely compared to my previous doctor's office, which only ever had 2-3 physicians and were always way overbooked. Waiting area has a "sick" side and a "well" side, which I appreciate. Reading the previous negative reviews, I am wondering if they have made some changes in recent years because I only started going there about a year ago but can say that I have not dealt with any staff who I would consider rude or unprofessional. I honestly saw the 2.5 star rating and felt compelled to leave a review because I certainly have not had 2.5 star experiences at this practice.
Alli Schimpf doesn't recommend Amherst Family Practice PC. 26 November ·. I was told they would not renew my scripts for insulin and other meds because I chose to make my follow up appointment for blood work and sr appt in January instead of December.
First Amherst Family Practice told me on the phone that they do accept my Medicaid then I get here for my appointment and they say they don't. Then they said I could self pay then a lady came out and said I couldn't so I have to go home with untreated bronchitis and an untreated gastrointestinal illness.
