“From the first time we attended, the people of New Life have been genuine, kind, and uplifting. The teaching is unafraid of the truth, even if it flies in the face of current culture climate. It's a great balance of conviction and encouragement. There's a mix of ages, several families with babies to adolescents as well as empty nesters and older. It's not a flashy, big church and I consider that a plus. This church has become like our family and we're so grateful a friend suggested it to us.”

Address: 2404 North Ave, Richmond, VA 23222, USA
“The congregation is small but that's why its a good church. It gives you a chance to know the people you are fellowshiping with opposed to a bigger church where you can get lost in the crowd. Italso makes it feel more like family. The members are friendly and welcoming and the Word was good but as the other poster said you have to know the word for yourself. That doesn't take anything away from this church, I did feel the Spirit of God there.”

“I’ve visited Second Branch several times over the last few years and they were always very friendly to me. They’re a traditional southern baptist church with true southern hospitality and a deep history in Chesterfield. I made many memories with their youth group when I was in high school that I will always remember. The Sr. Pastor, Chris Palmer who is blessed with wisdom beyond his years, always delivers a biblical, to-the-point sermon.”

“I had been looking for a church since i moved from NYC to VA Many people have invited me to their church buti never went because i didn't believe God was calling me to their churches. Every time i prayed it seemed as though God would continually lead me to Living Word. It took me a long time to finally get there because i was hesitating. The truth is when God speaks we're to listen and go. I prayed and asked God if this is really where He's leading I'm suppose to go i need the Holy Spirit to meet me at the door. Needlesstosay He met me. The power of God is so real during praise and worship and the Word of God is unique and powerful. I just love it. ! Plus i was looking for a church with an array of colors. This church is sold out for God.”

“It's open right now with safety measures for the Covid19. This is one of those churches where one feels welcomed right away. It's a Spanish speaking congregation but they offer bilingual services or translation. Their worship is very traditional but the atmosphere is very relaxing and one can easily participate. The pastor is very lively and dynamic preaching with much enthusiasm every Saturday. They also offer a multitude of programs for the family during the week and special services for the holidays. There is care for small children. Ever so often they have meals for all in attendance. Overall if ones just passing by or if one wants to visit once in a while this is a recommend congratulation”

The grounds and meditation gardens are absolutely stunning through all of the seasons and the perfect place for a wedding. They provide a nice space to build community and grow as an individual regardless of your religious or spiritual background. We are so fortunate to have them in the heart of Bon Air.
