“Mr. Food Mart is your typical neighborhood corner store but on steroids. They offer basic grocery items like milk, bread, canned and dry goods, snacks, sodas, beer, etc... You can also find basic health and first aid items, very basic automotive items, tobacco products, etc... Of course they sell all the Virginia lottery tickets and a good variety of scratch-off lottery games as well. So far I've described your average neighborhood corner store but Mr. Food Mart is so much more. You can pay your utility or cell phone bill here, you can cash a check or buy a money order. You can pick up a bag of ice or exchange the propane tank for your gas grill then pump your tire full of air. They also have a deli counter where you can purchase deli meats and cheeses by weight and have them sliced to your preference. Then there's the food. They have a full line of delicious cold and hot subs as well some pretty decent pizza by the slice or get the whole pie. There are no tables or chairs inside or out so it's strictly takeout. To place your order just come on in or call ahead to have it ready when you get there. Hot dogs, hot sausage, bbq - you can get it here and it's pretty darn good. They have a nice commercial pizza oven and they know how to use it. Honestly, their subs are pretty amazing. Try the Club or Fat Boy or or Italian subs. Personally, my favorite is the Philly Cheesesteak. There's plenty of juicy and tender meat seasoned just right on a beautifully toasted roll. It really is outstanding. All their subs come ATW (all the way) with lettuce, tomato, mayo and oil & vinegar. The parking lot is mostly adequate but can get pretty crowded, fortunately there are nearby businesses with additional parking so it's never really an issue. Be aware this is a neighborhood store so small groups of people do sometimes congregate in front of the store to hang out for a few minutes but it's never a problem.”

The phone etiquette and customer service during my pick up was the only thing that did not go well. The lady at the front counter is not welcoming and very “short” over the phone. Her customer service skills being as though she is the only interaction received could really deter someone from coming back. I still give it 5 stars based on the food but she needs to be more friendly.”

“Oh my gooooodnesss, this place is so so sooo good! The first thing I tried was their dulce de leche y queso, and I immediately fell in love! I dropped by one morning because I was buying coffee for my sisters, and I got a lot more than what I was expecting! Their frozen/iced coffee is delicious, and they roast it themselves up front. The staff is very friendly and easy to talk to as well! They gave us freshly baked bread and it was spectacular, marvelous, fantastic!! I highly, highly recommend dropping by and trying this place!
