“We went with a party of 10 by boat and had a WONDERFUL time. Fast, friendly service, flavorful food, and a comfortable atmosphere. Live music added to the ambience. The crab dip was very creamy and cheesy, the fries fish was very crispy on the outside but soft and flaky on the inside, PERFECT! as was the spicy tartar sauce. The Mike burger was spicy and tasty. One member of our group ordered the Carrot Cake, the slice was HUGE! :) We will definitely be visiting again soon.”

The waitress was so helpful and kind, honestly some of the best service I've ever gotten! I will definitely be coming back for more and bringing some friends along with me. “Had to park in one of the hotel spaces. Lot for restaurant was full. Got here about 9:30 on a Monday. Was seated immediately. Ordered apple juice, cheese omelet with potatoes and toast. “Food was good, service was terrible. Went last night, a Friday night at about 7 and it wasn't too busy. We got seated immediately but noticed we didn't get a drink menu. Tried waiting to see the waitress but that was not happening so my husband walked up to the hostess stand and grabbed one. Came back to the table and noticed there was no beer on that menu. Waitress finally came so we asked her. It took awhile and what we could guess is they only had one and it was at a different table. Appetizer and food delivery were slow too. Thankfully both my husband and my daughter liked their wings. My daughter got the traditional with medium sauce. She sometimes goes with mild as she's not into too spicy and she liked the medium, she said it was not too spicy. My husband got the baked wings with two different flavors and he said they were good. He said the flavors of the sauce were good but the stars for heat were generous. I got the Philly cheese steak and it and the fried were good. The only reason we were not more annoyed by the super slow service was because they had live music, Shane Hines, and wow was he good!! We will be back because my family likes wings and they liked these and we live close by. As with any restaurant, service is hit or miss and for us I'd still give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe next time would be better.”

“The food is everything it’s cracked up to be. We love pizza and tend to have many varieties so we figured this would be your standard pizza… it’s hard to mess up in our opinion. However, this pizza was extra DELICIOUS! I’m not sure what it is about it, but it had an extra special something! The crust had an excellent flavor and was the perfect amount of crunch. The service was excellent. You have to order at the bar and seat yourself so just follow directions and you’ll be well taken care of. The gentleman at the bar was so helpful to us and everyone coming in giving instructions and welcoming them. Our waitress came by to give us water and make sure we were okay- she was SO sweet - an absolute delight! We really appreciated how often we were checked on and how welcome we were made to feel- add this to some of the most delicious pizza we’ve had - we will FOR SURE come back and recommend this restaurant to everyone! “Wonderful restaurant ! We were passing through Petersburg on our way to New York. We were tired and hungry. I asked the owners if he sold slices and he replied no but, promised to get us in and out quickly. We decided to stay and we’re so glad we did. We had a delicious chicken sandwich, salad and very good French fries. The owner was true to his word and got our food out quickly. So glad we stopped ! Lovely atmosphere, great service and very good food”

“This is a nice place with many offerings. My server Beneree was charming, informative and helped me make good choices. Kicked things off with a plate of Hot Dirty Fries. Yummy! From there I ordered 2 entrees, Butter Curry Fried Rice and Salt & Pepper Fried Tofu. The rice serving was Huge and flavorful with tender shrimp and a hint of curry, ended taking about 2/3’s home. The tofu would benefit from cutting larger cubes, as the smallish ones were hard throughout. If you’re dipping your toes into Ethnic Cuisine, this is a good starting point. None of the flavors are too strong. If you’re looking for a bowl of Phö or something with true ethnic flavors, you’ll be disappointed.”

“Today, my Husband and I had lunch at O'Charley's Restaurant on Jefferson Davis Hwy in Chester. This was a first for us and I must say we were extremely impressed. The food was exceptional. Salad was fresh and Baked potatoes delicious. But the steaks were PURE PERFECTION. It has many years since I had a steak that was cooked the way we prefer. Kudos to the cook. The best part of the meal was the interaction with our waitress, Miesha. She was so efficient, so pleasant, so very kind and really an asset to O'Charley's. We will be returning soon. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for an exceptional meal.”

“Pho 79 is just consistently excellent. If you haven't tried it, you are truly missing out. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful and they have an incredibly helpful staff and OUTSTANDING food. The Pho broth is the best in the area and that is without question or exception. I always get the Com dish with chicken, beef and pork and it is just always so good. They also have very good boba tea there that pairs incredibly with the food. All around great experience every time we visit, highly recommended!!”

Service is excellent. Lunch sandwiches are superior — a perfect balance between fillings, topping and bread add up to an outstanding dining experience. We tremendously enjoyed the Reuben (the best we’ve had recently, delis included) and the French dip. Some say that sandwich making is an art, and J.Gilbert’s proves the adage. This establishment appears to have carefully developed its sandwich recipes and prepares them with distinction.”

“As the Director of Transportation for a local independents school, I was looking for a place host my bus drivers for a last day of school breakfast. Wanting to support a local small business, I called yesterday afternoon asking if they could seat a large party. Without hesitating, they said yes. All 29 of us showed up at 9:00am today. The staff did an AMAZING JOB keeping the coffee filled and getting our food ordered. Everyone was satisfied with their meal. We were done by 10:00am. Great job McLean Family Restaurant.
