“I walked into the Walmart Vision center to inquire about new reading glasses. I was greeted by Desiree and explained what I was interested in. She asked if I had a prescription and I said yes and it was onward upward from there. She helped me picked out frames that well suited me. Usually I would get all the same but her enthusiasm helped me be more adventurous and I selected 3 beautiful frames. She had given the cost of the lenses already so I knew my budget. Once selection was made, measurements were taken and the best was yet to come. She asked me whether I ever tried reading glasses with bi-focal lines and no, I never knew about them. We agreed for me to try one pair with the transitional style and the other pairs with the line. When my glasses came in, tried them on and it was looking at a whole new world. The care and concern that Desiree showed made me feel like a welcomed friend instead of just a customer. I appreciate the care and concern showed to me. “I came in at 8am one morning due to a nail in my tire that could not be patched. I needed to leave by 11am that day to drive a kid to college. Wayne and other staff were so helpful in ordering the right tire for me quickly. They weren't sure if they could get it done before noon, but ended up calling me at 10:30am that the tire was on and ready to go. I highly recommend! “The four stars are for my pharmacy staff and cleanliness of the establishment only! Been going here since I was a teenager and I go often. I been to privately owned pharmacies and pharmacies in every city and still choose this one as my primary. No major problems aside from the occasional regular rite aid cashier probably watching you when you come in giving you that stereotypical look they give to non Caucasian toned customers. Which makes me not want to purchase any items and just head to the pharmacy and out. Y'all got my address and my medical information why would I steal? On my next visit I will shop and see what happens and give y'all an update.”

“This shop is an epicurean delight, and they will even let you taste test the olive oils! Drizzles is not just a store, it’s an experience. They sell several different flavors of olive oils, balsamic vinegars and coffees! In addition, they carry other culinary specialties and unique gift items that are perfect for the foodie in your life! We were vacationing in Cape Charles when we stumbled upon Drizzles.The shop is colorful and inviting, and the owner is friendly and knowledgeable about both the products and the area. She invited us to sample several different oils while also giving helpful suggestions about walking tours and local sites we might want to visit. We really enjoyed the warm and friendly atmosphere. We purchased the Hickory Smoked and Black Truffle Garlic Butter olive oils, as well as the Hickory Smoked sweet balsamic vinegar. They’ve added so much depth and flavor to our dishes! We can’t wait to try even more varieties. Drizzles also has a website so you can order items and have them shipped. It’s perfect for gift giving, or getting that item you wish you’d pick up while in Cape Charles. I really can’t say enough wonderful things about this shop, and I sure hope you get to experience it for yourself! Notable Mention: They offer a military discount.”

“We bought a dryer from this place. The dryer worked very well for a little while and then the electronics board or all the buttons are malfunctioned we think we’re not sure what happened to it but the button stopped working. The dryer itself still works. We called the store and they told us that they would exchange it even though they are supposed to do it because they have a free 90 day warranty. They were very nice about it didn’t ask too many questions we came in looked at the Dryers told them which one we wanted to exchange it for and didn’t have to fill any more paperwork Work they just told us that they would have it delivered and pick up the old one for us. Did not charge us any extra for another delivery very professional very kind. Best place to buy a used washer or dryer!!!!!!”

“Passing through the area between photo-shoots, and came upon this gem. Initially we went inside to stock up on snacks, but discovered the kitchen and cute 'lil dining area in the back and we just had to stop and sit a spell! The cook, Madison, turned on the tv for us and we watched Gunsmoke while she prepared our food. And the food? Par excellence! We complimented Madison on her skills, but she wouldn't hear any of it. Well Madison, you DO bring it with your skill-sets and we will be back to try your steak! If you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to give Flat Rock Country Store a try! The people are kind and helpful, and the food is awesome. :-) In my travels across the country as a photographer, I've come to realize that when you enter a store like this with weathered wooden floors, you're usually in for a special time.
