“I was in contact with Blue Ocean Villas for the first time in 2013 when I decided I wanted to explore the beauty of St Martin on my own terms.. I was responded to by Sonja immediately and began planning my first villa rental. I was greeted at the car rental company by our guide Cindy who we followed to the villa and explained all procedures. I chose Moondance as my first Villa by Sonja's recommendation and it was awesome right down to the night the power went out on Island. Due to the thorough instructions I received I contacted my house keeper who went above and beyond to explain about black outs and the effect it has on the island after a storm( it lasted 15 mins). My second rental in May 2014 I wanted a great view of the ocean and Sonja recommended Villa Leones, the pictures of 2013 of the villa were okay and was assured I would enjoy it. I again was greeted by Cindy and was lead to the villa. To much of my surprise the villa was redone by owner and it was fantastic. The owner updated his pictures in 2014 after my stay. I got a sense of family value from Sonja and an in-depth explanation of any and all concerns. Sonja also gave me some great restaurants on both Dutch and French side of the Island. I'm Looking forward to planing my 2015 trip with her and may venture to another island. I feel she went out of her way with customer service and has had my best interest in mind. I recommend Blue Ocean Villas for any and all villa rentals.”

“The contact station has exhibits, water, bathrooms and information. It’s been closed for a few years and it’s good to see it open again. There is a big parking lot next to trails and water access for kayaking. There are beach and bay trails with informative signs. Fishing areas. Bike and hiking trails. Handicap accessible. There are plenty of flora and fauna if you know where to look. We like to bike in and explore all the way to False Cape. Access is now free if you bike or hike in. There is no swimming or fishing allowed on the beach.”

“I played the Nicklaus course yesterday, and wow, what an experience. The fairways are wide and long, the greens are well protected, and the views are amazing. The opening hole is a straight shot, but hooking is penalized by a stand of trees. Once you reach the green, you head to hole #2 with water on the left. A slight fade works best on this hole. Hole 3 is a long par 5 with an elevated green. Play what you want, just hit it straight! Hole 4, a par 3, plays directly to the Chesapeake Bay. On #5, you tee off with water on each side. Aim for the trees and fade it onto the fairway. #6 is a short par 3 protected by a natural area on both sides. #7 plays true to length, but with water on the right it presents a challenge to a golfer who hits a fade (or a slice...). #8 is a nice par 4 with water on the right, a green protected by deep bunkers on each side, and water behind the green. A fade OR Draw work well here, although I'd aim to the water's edge and draw it back to the fairway. The final hole, #9, is a par 5 with a wide fairway. There is water to the right off the tee, but beyond the water the fairway is as wide as you'd need. Place your second shot carefully, as there are bunkers protecting the landing area and green. Bay Creek recently converted to a member-only course, but if you'd like to play it, book the Bay Creek Discovery Tour. It's a 3 day 2 night package that includes lodging, golf, spa services, a meal voucher, and a few other amenities.”

“Took a family trip down to VA for 04-Jul weekend and visited Easy Does It, for us and the kids to experience riding and learning more about the horse. I have to admit upon arriving I was not super enthusiastic. However, upon entering the back and be greeted by Mr. Pickles the kids face lit up with excitement they were sold and so were we. He was as excited to see them as they were to see him. Unfortunately, the trail ride didn’t go as planned but not for lack of trying by the staff. We were able to salvage the experience and had such a blast. I couldn’t imagine it being better on the trail. If it’s your first time please temper ur expectations and have an open mind or just take a kid along they’ll do it for u! 😆 Pairing up an inexperienced rider with a horse especially one you care for is never an ideal situation. Expecting everything to be perfect is a pipe dream. My advise is to have an open mind, reserve judgment and from my experience the staff will work very hard to ensure your experience is great. On our very short trip to VA we were able to fit in quite a few 1st time activities, by far the most enjoyable experience for the kids was the time they spent learning, riding, feeding, petting, brushing … the horse! The staff was very professional, knowledgeable and would very much like to share their love for the animals with you so you can experience that connection. We don’t go to Disney because we are excited about Micky, we do it because the kids are, we are excited to share in that experience, make memories that may live on long after us, some of mine I have added below! Give Easy Does It and their staff a chance to show you why they are so passionate about their horses and IMHO from first hand experience you will have a great time!”

“Our stay for Christmas week was all we hoped it would be and more. The owners have done an amazing job with the old farm house. The attention to detail, and there are many details, is amazing. The home sits on the East River with a beautiful dock and plenty of opportunity to enjoy amazing sunrises. The kitchen is well equipped and the house had plenty of room and was beautifully decorated. The only suggestion I would make would be more comfortable furniture in the living room. If you want to watch TV at night, or pile up in a cozy place and read a book, the current furniture is a little uncomfortable, but beyond that there is plenty of outside space with nice outdoor furniture and great views.”
