“Alicia Alden is the absolute best! Great personality, attentive, very witty, cool as a cucumber and 100% competent. She's a Doctor of Nursing in addition to being a Family Nurse Practitioner. Luckily for patients, she provides excellent primary care! The great thing about her background is she knows the inside scoop that nurses know about certain procedures & surgeons. She knows the details that you need to know as you plan your medical treatments. I needed a hiatal hernia repair. Based on her relationships and experience, she knew exactly who was great and her referral was 100% on point! She knows people - not just their degrees, but what they're actually like (i.e. are they good or not)! LOL! She's knowledgeable and so approachable that you feel like you're talking to your friend rather than someone she just met for the first time. Her bedside manner is off the charts! I absolutely love her level of care for patients, and I feel privileged to be able to see her at Ashburn! She's just great!”

“"Dr. B.", as we affectionately call her in our house, is absolutely everything you could want and ask for in a child and family therapist. Dr. B. comes from a place of nurturing and is judgement-free, and helps families better understand their dynamics, personalities, challenges, strengths; and provides reasonable and helpful skills to help parents and children with ALL of the big feelings and to better understand the "why". Using games, playing, and art as therapy techniques; but all coming from Dr. B's scientific evidence-based knowledge of children's physical and emotional development for their ages (ie: how their brain works) she worked with our family over 6+ months. Dr. B helped me as a mother to better understand and set expectations of behaviour for my daughter; and gave me so many tools to try and help her in her moments of overwhelming big feelings; and she also taught these skills to my daughter as well. Tools and skills we still use today... 2 years later! We found Dr. B. through a Yoga workshop and I am so grateful she was able to bring us on as patients. Dr. B worked with my husband and I to set our goals for our sessions with our daughter, and we were able to make excellent progress in a remarkable amount of time. I don't know how we would be at this stage had it not be for our sessions with Dr. B. Our daughter absolutely loved her visits to Dr. B and it was something we all looked forward to every week. I have recommended her to numerous friends if they are looking for help with their children, and looking for a warm and non-clinical/sterile feeling therapeutic relationship, but with a therapist who has a deep clinical understanding of children and their development. I have no hesitation and no doubt that we will again resume our sessions with Dr. B when we come across our next band of obstacles and hurdles and as parents need guidance, and my daughter (and my son) need additional tools in their toolbox to successfully manage their emotions as they grow and mature. Dr. B is someone I am so deeply grateful to have in our family's life and would recommend her to anyone with children preschool aged and up.”

I asked for some layering and a trim of my bangs, I needed layers to be able to get a better curl pattern as my hair would weigh itself down and bunch at the bottom. After the cut I went home and showered, and this is how my hair looks without even having to do the curly girl method to really pull out the curls. “My wife and I had just bought a 1990 F150 from a nice gentleman in Virginia Beach. Halfway back to Richmond, the belt in the truck broke. We limped it to an O’Reillys off Jefferson Avenue in Newport News. The manager at the O’Reilly’s helped diagnosis the problem, which was a broken water pump. We called around to a few mechanics, who were not able to assist us at that time. One of the O’Reillys employees recommended a “mobile mechanic” something I had never heard of. I did a quick Internet search, and found “Laroy’s mobile mechanic” listed on the search. I gave him a call, and within two hours, he and his partner, who I unfortunately cannot recall his name, worked diligently and efficiently to repair our “new” old truck. I bought the parts that were needed, which ended up being a water pump, belt, and a fan clutch, along with some fluids. There were a couple of delays as I had to go to a couple of different O’Reillys to get all the parts, but once he had the parts, they worked tirelessly in below freezing weather. Within a few hours, The truck was repaired, and running much much better than she did before. Laroy and his colleague truly saved us, and my wife called them “angels,” which they are. I’m not much for Religion, so I’ll just call them good men and incredible mechanics. Again, I I’m really sorry I cannot remember your partner’s name, I hope you can forgive me. If you’re ever in an auto jam in the Newport News area, call this gentleman up and he will come to you. Not only were the repairs done right, he gave us an incredibly good rate for the work. It’s one of the best mechanic jobs I’ve ever seen. Thank you, thank you, thank you so so much for what y’all did. You really saved us!”
