Known for their seafood bisque, you need to try their kicking crab soup. You can get the bowl of soup with a half loaf of read and that is a meal! The French dip, blue max are ones we tend to order most times. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Be sure to check their specials. The entertainment on Friday night is a local musician or group. “Joel really cares and knows what he's doing. He will get you results, even in difficult cases such as mine. I've been struggling with my weight for over two years. I used to be very athletic and had no problems finding the motivation to eat healthy and work out! About two years ago, nothing I did seem to work anymore. I just kept gaining more and more weight and felt less and less healthy. Six months ago, I decided to make my health a priority. “Excellent! Best fish tacos in Virginia and probably the mid Atlantic. Do yourself a favor and get the fish tacos and ask for a side of chile macho (spicy green chili sauce). The fish tacos come out hot and have a ton of flavor and are excellent with habanero cream sauce…but I also loved their chile macho sauce which took it to a new level. I also heard from the table next to me that the margaritas were great so I’m going to try one next time. This is the type of joint that gets stuck in your head!!!”

“Dr. Rubin is my hero! I had 6 surgeries at Virginia Ortho due to MRSA that I contracted from the original surgery to repair my broken ankle. I was left handicapped and in severe pain. Fast forward a year and along comes Dr. Rubin. He fixed the torn tendon the previous doctor missed and scoped the subtalar that they failed to address. It made a huge difference in my ability to walk and pain levels. It was during one of our last visits that he told me about TOTAL ANKLE REPLACEMENTS and said to live with my ankle as long as I could. He said technology is making advancements and I would be a candidate. I waited almost 5 years and he changed my life! I had a total ankle replacement 7 WEEKS ago. He told me that it would be a year before I was happy with the results. Not true! It has only been 7 weeks and I can walk barefooted, I can ride my trike, I walk without holding onto things to steady myself, and I haven't had to crawl to the bathroom one single time! Every day I find myself able to do something that I had to give up when I was left handicapped in 2011. He is an amazing surgeon and has given me back my life! If my results are this good at 7 weeks I can only imagine what a year post op will be like! The Timberneck House could use a little love and the trails are a bit lacking, but all in all a solid 9/10 park.”
