During the Fall and Winter I go here a couple of times a month to walk and fish. It is basically a beautifully oasis just 20 minutes from Vancouver. Seems like you are much further away from town when you are there. I stay away in the Summer leaving the lake and park to the families and the large numbers of swimmers, fisherpeople, boats and walkers. However the lake is nice to swim in on a hot summer evening.
Small yet tidy park with a gorgeous little lake, RV hook ups, cottages, and tent spaces. No sewer hook ups, though, only power and water.
One long dock into the lake, a roped-off swimming area, and plenty of boating/kayaking/fishing. Quiet the week of Thanksgiving (M-W) and then completely full by the Thursday.
Nice little park to take family for a walk. Some people fish there. Whatever, please wear a mask as trails are narrow.
Nothing like kayaking on a volcano,.. you can read about it on the sign by the lower bathrooms.
