This is a long overdue review.

I was recently pregnant and with it, I had a lot of aches and pains and Karen came highly recommended by several. She is so nurturing and wonderful at what she does. Karen has several specialties but what really helped me through my journey was the abdominal massages (amongst others). She talked me through it and how it can be very beneficial and I am so glad that she did. I felt absolutely amazing afterwards (my pregnant belly also felt amazing). I have seen her regularly now for several months and will continue to do so after new baby.

I have been seeing Karen for a couple of months for my hips and shoulder and she has helped tremendously. She is a great listener and knowledgeable. She has also been advising on exercises that will help with my troubled areas and it’s been working. Her place is spacious, relaxing and is a true place of healing.

Her massage studio is a well curated, peaceful space filled with beautiful art and gentle music. The bathroom is well lit and impeccably clean. The massage table is pleasantly heated and covered in soft linens.

Karen is a highly skilled practitioner with a fluidity of understanding how to apply her many styles of bodywork in one session customized to the needs of the person on any given day. I have received her abdominal therapy, craniosacral therapy as well as full body relaxation massage. Other times we have focused on some specific ache or pain which she has helped with hands on techniques and wise suggestions for self care or stretches/exercises I can do at home. Her skills are a boon to this new mother- she even has a history of attending births and teaching birth preparation classes.

I doubly appreciate that she takes the safety of her family and mine seriously during the pandemic- wearing an n95 mask and face shield during sessions and asking for proof of vaccination. These practical steps help me relax under her care.

Karen is skilled healer and bodywork master, providing a dynamic, comfortable, professional experience. The space is warm, inviting and artfully appointed with work from local artists. She is a good listener and offers suggestions to help you meet your health goals. She also offers a high quality selection of locally made body products that are fantastic. Treat yo self - get the tea, deodorant, the bath bomb and the rollerball- it’s all fantastic.
